Is it possible? I'd like to buy a few argie and brazilian kids, but they're unlikely to get a permit. Can't I buy them and send them straight to a feeder club instead of applying for a work permit ala Carlos Vela @ Arsenal? I've looked but can't work out if I can or not...

Belgium and Poland are generally regarded as the best countries to send non eu players to so try and get one in these countries. A couple of things to remember though is that firstly you cant sign under 18 brazilians and spain have rules meaning that south american players will get their permit in two years so it might be an idea to get a spanish affiliate. You have to go to your board and ask for a feeder but you most likely wont get a work permit one immediately.

the spanish clubs are dodgy though. i think its only 2 years if the players already speak spanish or something. so its ok for agentinians but brazilians would take longer.

I do have a belgian feeder (Lokeren). Reason I asked is because I bid for 20yr old Argie (Ever Banega). I wasn't sure he'd get a work permit, but I tried none the less. My question is how would I send him to the feeder club if he doesn't become my player because of a refused work permit application... Do you get what I'm saying? Move completed subject to a work permit being granted I think is how it's termed.

He still becomes your player and shows up in your squad.
You click his name in the team and click (I believe) send to affiliate -> name
I'm at work or I'd give you a screenshot sorry

So he could have the permit turned down, but still join your club? I ask because on previous versions if I have a players permit turned down the transfer is cancelled.

When you have the link, it states you can sign the player even though his work permit was turned down.

It will say something along the lines of: Do you still wish to sign "Player X"? You will have to send him out on loan until he qualifies for a work permit...
Again, you only get this option if you have a feeder club specifically for avoiding WP regulations.
