In 07..before I realised big stars don't mean great team I signed the following after winning the quadrople twice with ManUtd:

Robinho
Ramos
Terry
Kaká
Pirlo

... cost me a little, but I did win most games effortless after that... was fun...

Biggest star ever signed:

Cm03/04 Rosenborg - Zinedine Zidane

I spent my entire transfer budget on him and went bankrupt.. but it was so worth it!

In case you haven't realised, now is the best time to sign Adriano since he's having problems with the Inter management. I just signed him for 30M. Hope he'll perform.

At Canvey Island (FM06, before they got doomed to the non-playables), I signed Hameur Bouazza for £20k!! That was before he signed for Fulham; he was rotting in the Watford Reserves. After two years in which he pretty much single-handedly won me the FA Trophy and the Conference, he left on a free transfer to Derby

me 2 i used to play for them when i was 16 and 17 would pay to go back and play with him,

I cant seem to get enough money to but famous players (I need good players with Man Utd). However, I did buy Micah Richards for 46.5mil, then he got injured for 4 months.
