Has anyone else noticed that there is not the manager merry go round in FM08 like there is real life.
I am just starting my 3rd season with the beta patch, and I noticed that only 4 teams in the current premiership have a different manager from what they started the game with.
I am not sure that’s a good representation of the current real life premiership.
Of course in real life, 4 managers have been sacked already, and we are only 3 months into this current season.
It seems that way with the other divisions as well.
mate some people saying too many sacked, some say too few.. i suppose it just depends on everyones individual gaming world . perhaps in your game most of the managers are meeting there chairmans expectations?? well eerr maybe not lol
iv had about 7 in the 09 season so far the stupid one i remember is rafa leavin liverpool in nov to go to valencia then he came back to liverpool 8 months later when there manager got sacked!

I've seen many tnot given new contracts,even when they do well, but rarely see an actual sacking.
Apparently Chelsea winning the league and Bolton finishing 6th isn't enough :eek: Both managers were released after the 09/10 seasons, as was Alex Ferguson,after Man. Unt finished 3rd(despite 2 titles previously).
im in 09 season with arsenal and alot of maangers have got the sack, rafa left for valenica (understandbly) same as hevs an then we returned! weird!! but the most stupid is alex ferguson man utd didnt give him another contract!! stupid as well as southampton going through about 25 managers!!
during my first season with chelsea:
liverpool sacked rafa
portsmouth sacked redknapp
middlesborough sacked southgate
fulham sacked lawrie
and arsenal were about to sack wenger but he seemed to pull it around
first season of one of my saves had Benitez and Ferguson get the sack, (liverpool were in 7th or 8th and united were 5th). Even if united finished 5th i doubt ferguson would be in any danger of being sacked.
Quite a few in my game were being shown the door. One that stuck out in my mind were Liverpool, Sacked Benitez then hired Lippi and sacked again in a few months later, all in the first season!! :p
