Proposed Quota
Im fairly sure that the proposed Quota for domestically eligable player is illegal and will in all probablilty never happen.
But if it did would your 1st team squad have to be altered to meet it?
How many Home nation (or nations if its the UK) players start regularly for your side.

Probably, I heard its something like 5 english based players.
They have a quota in Scotland, the 16 player squad on match day has to include 2 U21 Scottish players i think?

German lower leagues have quota's too. I have to play a number of U21s in my Lok Lepizig team.
I have 9 non-German players in a 26 player squad.

This surely has little to do with FM... and the proposed quota is rubbish and just an excuse for england being sh*t.
My team is middlesbrough and we have Young, O'Neil, Riggot, Woodgate, Downing, Cattermole and Wheater playing regularly. Plus I think Scwarzer has an english passport, same for Aliadiere and Boateng.

Also i think the proposed quota should be for BRITISH players not english if anything. Then clubs like Cardiff City will have all foreign players as a lot of their players are welsh! Either that or they will have to move Cardiff etc into the WPL which will never happen.
if anything it should be for england/wales players or wales' national team is doomed lol

Certains sources have claimed that the players must be eligable for the Home nation. 2nd nationalities won't be eligable.
This wouldn't work in the UK leagues.
If it came in it would lead to a rule change and a massive change in the way people play FM especially in the higher divisions.

if it were to come into effect in the real leagues middlesbrough would make a fortune from our youth academy.

get mowbray in! bring back johnson and give him a run in the team. Downing is good, he's just become incredibly lazy. Think the entire team needs a rocket up them rather than a few pints in the Dickens Inn
