I've used the transfer funds feature to make some transfer funds available, just to experiment. However, I tried to move the transfer funds back to the wages a week later and it wouldn't let me. Any ideas? Is it something I'm missing?

It seems that you can only move money from transfers to wages when you are over your wage limit.
TIP: If you are already well under your wage budget but still want to increase it using spare transfer funds and selecting Adjust Budgets only gives you the option to increase transfer funds, just increase the transfer budget by the maximum possible and then select Adjust Budgets again. You will now have the option to increase your wage budget to the level you desire.
^^^ I was going to quote it but you have, so I'll just say :
Yeah that's infinitely more sensible than just having both budget adjustments available as an option. Why on earth would you make it more user friendly when you can have really bizarre workarounds. Wonderful game design. Just love it.
Before my keyboard drips any more with sarcasm I'll say that I love these tips, but hells teeth the game should be so user-friendly we don't need hidden black-magic to get the best out of each "feature".
Budget adjustment is something we needed as boards in real life are more flexible and not so completely rigid when it comes to exceptional cases such as offering a new contract to meet demands of a star-player they already have and want to keep.
The note-book is something I use more often than most users I think and I saw some 'limits' to it in previous version. But this one, seems to have removed nearly all limits and you can pretty much take note on anything and anyone in the game and in every single way possible.
