I may sound thick but what are patches. I know i have the 8.0.0 patch but i dont know what these patches are. Help!

A patch is a small programme that the game makers distribute with fixes for the original game- they sometimes will include some data updates but not always. They are compatible with your current save game but some fixes will require you to start a new game to be implemented.. The original game will have the suffix .0.0 ( the current game is 8.0.0 ) and subsequent patches will have the suffixes 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 etc. The latest patch wiull include all the fixes in the previous patches so you nedd only download the latest one. Patches can only be installed when the game is not running.
