Small 9Mb Premiership FacePack for FM07 with 568 pics

I downloaded this (the 1st version), and had some trouble with it, so I decided to then delete it. I then went into the game to start up a new game. I selected the english league (the championship being the lowest league), and also had the spanish 1st division and Italian La Liga in a view only mode. I also selected the large database. When i click to start the game, it loads all the usual things up, but then once that is done the football icon remains as the football icon for ages, and the game no longer responds. I have only had this trouble since trying to download the FacePack thing. I decided to uninstall the game and then reinstall it. Strangely once the game was reinstalled and i went to start new game, it remembered what options i had selected previously (even though i deleted the game). It also does the same thing and just seems to hang once i have selected my leagues and clicked on start game. I have also noticed that when looking at task manager it states that the game is not responding and within the processes tab, the mem usage is extremely high for fm - something like 180,000k.

Can anyone help, its driving me mad!!!

Firstly, the Face Pack is not the problem because all it does is add images that are 100% compatible with the game, to your graphics folder, where it should go. It could be simply because you always select the large database and you need one hell of a top-spec PC for the game to process all the information. Start a new game and just select medium database only & the game will process alot faster. What spec is your PC?

Also, when the game is installed, it makes another folder in My Documents and looks like this: C

Documents and Settings\YourName\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007.

In regards to your memory use when FM07 is loaded with a game, my game uses 58,677K of RAM and when I'm typing this now, its went down to only 14,200K!! You should scan your PC for virus' & spyware that could be making your PC go slower and defrag your hard disks. Its bound to be something quite simple like that causing problems

From Wayne'o suggestion about doing teams badges, I'm keen on doing a small logo pack for just the Premiership & my priority is to keep the filesize as small as possible for people like me with just 1Mb ADSL or even just dialup.

Please don't post asking when certain files will be available, as soon as there made, they'll be made available - simple!

My PC is an AMD Athlon 2ghz with 512mb RAM. I managed to solve the problem by looking on sega.co.uk. There are two profile files you have to delete. The game will then create a new profile for you and it then worked. I have only got one league running (English with championship as the lowest), but it is flying along now!!

Are there any benefits of having say the spanish and italian 1st divisions as viewable other than the fact that you can view how the teams are doing?

You didn't have a very good PC for running the game on Max Database settings & I would just set the game on Min Database. Just to help others out, could you post the steps here on what profiles you had to delete to get the gaming running normal again after your PC problems.

By having the detail on just View-Only or Basic, the game processes alot faster but you can't manage in those leagues or interact with them. Theres more in the manual on this on page 10. I've got the Championship, Premiership, La Liga & Seria A leagues running on Min Database & I'm amazed at how fast the games runs, it actually takes some time to get used to - but credit to SIgames to make it even more enoyable as well

One error I've (or actually my friend whom I linked this to) found: Albert Jarrett's pic is actually of Ashley Young (both Watford players). Not sure whether vice versa is true as I haven't had a chance to check myself, but there you go.

FMTopFan Premiership Club Badges Pack For FM07

Just made my 1st Prem Club Badges Pack & its only a 207kb download. These are classed are normal size images & not small or large.

1) Download and extract the file the folling folder (presuming D: is where you installed the game): D

Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\data\graphics\pictures\logos\normal\clubs\eng

2) Start the game, go to Preference, then Display & Sound and untick 'Use Skin Cache' so the skins will load next time you restart FM07.

3) Restart FM07 and load the game - now you can tick the 'Use Skin Cache' because the pack is now loaded.

Thanks, I'm glad you really like, it encourages me to do more packs for FM07

Could some more Watford fans please let me know if I have got the wrong pic for the 2 players below please & I'll make sure the pack is amended...
