using the editor i created a new database and saved it.

but when i start a new game, the default database is used.

how do i select the database i created?

Are you running the same version of the game as when you created the database? If not then it probably wont work. Sorry

Your db will automatically be stored in c/documents andsettings/yourname/sports interactive/footballmanager2007/db, drag this file to c/programme files/sportsinteractive/football nmanager/date/db you will then see 2 files in this folder 700 (default db) and the one you created, then when you load up a new game (has to be a new game), it will bring up a pop up which will allow you to choose which db you want.

I have the same problem here. With version 7.0.1 it worked just fine, but after saving my changes under a different name with 7.0.2, when trying to load my save (in the editor), it doesn't exist, there is however a file of my save in the documents section as it is supposed to be. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Could you check the version number of the game, you can see this in the top right hand corner on the intro screen. If it doesn't say 7.0.2 then the patch wasn't installed properly and that's why it won't load the edited database.
