1. Why does each post go off the side of my screen so that I cant read it?
2. Has anyone in here put any emphasis on the effects of coaches, their abilities and their allocation on training.?
For example:- I tried 2 demo games with Liverpool. In the first one I didnt touch training or coaches at all and had a horrendous catalogue of injuries, most of which were mid to long term.
In the second, I looked at the coaches, unchecked auto assign, allocated them manually and got the effectiveness stars up substantially. I sacked the Fitness coach who had a fitness attribute of 7, hired a coach with an attribute of 20 and suddenly the stars for strength and aerobic are up to 5 from 2. With the exact same squad, slightly different tactics, I had about 5 injuries in total in the 6 months. Coincidence maybe?
So started another Demo game with Barcs- checked the coaches first and noted that there were 25 effectiveness stars across the 9 training schedule with them all auto assigned. Unchecked this, allocated them manaually and got the stars up to 34, without employing anybody and again the Barca Fitness coach has a fitness attribute of 7 and the GK coack has a GK coaching attribute of 4!! What is that all about? 2 sackings and 2 coaches later the stars are up to 38.
Maybe not a scientific study but it does show that even the smallest of changes can affect the effectivenes of training by 25%. Yes, traing is currently flawed but I am sure that it requires a lot more than just some smart training routines to get it right. | 1. I'm not sure. Perhaps I've broken the internet.
2. Not as yet. I was hoping someone else would contribute as it's not something I've done or am in a position to (lower league).

I am playing a Seria C2 side Cisco Roma, and I have appointed as many good coaches as possible, so that now I have only 3 training on 3 stars.
I have been using position training and the red just flooding it. I managed to stop by rotating the whole team back to general - medium for a week then back to positional special training.
Also I make sure all players rest for at least 1 day a week, and try to increase the intensity as the week go by between each game (Have to do a lot of browsing and stop the game load), then go back to easy just before the game.
I played 11 games in the league and are unbeaten so far, conceding 2 goals.

Guys would any of you mind if I took the content from this topic and built an article about training as the discussion is quite broad and there is alot of information for someone to take in if they are new to the topic |

Tactics: Tactical 18+
Defending: Defending 19+
Ball Control: Technique 18+ & Mental 18+
Attacking: Attacking 18+ & tactical 18+
Shooting: Technique 18+ & Attacking 18+
Set Pieces: Technique = 17+ Mental + Attacking
| Those values are for FM 2006. They are not accurate for FM 2007. Defending, for example, is 5 stars based on defending and tactics. A 20 defending with a low tactics will net you 4 stars. I'm slowing compiling the star ratings for all combinations, but it takes me forever as I only play a few times per week =)

I'm just about done with defending. It takes forever to do this with the editor though. It seems there are some hidden factors when you are setting stats. Like if I set defending to 20 and tactics to 20 and everything else to 0, the values will sometimes change in the game to something else.
I also noticed that when I changed everyone to coach (instead of GK, youth or such) in the editor, I always end up with one GK coach and one Fitness coach that never show up in the editor.

Thread for 5 star coaches in FM07: 5 star coaches
It has never failed me, but apparently it has failed Rashidi1 (that coach must be absolutely useless in all other areas? )
