Hi all,


I have come to understand that if, in a match, I control the possesion and oasses completed percentages, then I have a fair chance of winning the game.

My question however is that at the moment, I am one of the poorer sides in my league, so playing a slow and patient game is more than likely to result in failure.

Does anybody know the best way to make sure that these two percentages are maintained, even with a poor side??

It is a difficult task. I am afraid I can't suggest a way to maintain posession. But you can forgo it and concentrate on winning by countering the other team.
For this, you will have to use Direct passing!

I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. But being a poorer team in your league, this is the best option.

Thanks Prince Capri. It just worries me that I'm playing teams that are closer to the bottom of the league than me, and they still manage to come away boasting 70% possesion, I'm nearer 50. Any ideas from the rest of you??

I'm currently working on a total possession tactic at the minute, but the thing is I'm using Liverpool and a possession game shouldn't be too much of an ask with them.
I'd have to agree with prince_capri in that you'll have to play more direct with a worse (divisional) team.
