Can someone help me with how to score from corners? I have my best corner taker taking the corner kicks (obviously), my strikers are not especially tall but is there any thing I can do to get some goals from corners?

i made a tactic and my target man always scores on it i cant remember what i did but he stands at the near post then corner gets took and he flicks it on and it usually goes in or gets saved for another corner. i was using tiribocchi as target man he has 20 for heading

Failing that, anyone in your team with excellent jumping (It could be a defender of if you are in the dying minutes of a must-win match, a GK, however I ouldn't reccomed it ) set to near post flick on will get plenty of goals. Nikola Zigic or Andrea Caracciolo excell here.

Set your defender with the best heading ability to "Near post flick-on" and set your team corner instruction to (obviously) "near post"
The amount of goals Danny Agger scores for me is astonishing.
PS - look for the other player who has that "near post flick-on" and change it to "forward"
Trust me you'll be banging them in...

Corners and set-piece instructions aren't difficult to do. You usually have several options:

For corners:

1. Always make sure the best jumpers/headers move into attacking positions for corners and freekicks.

2. The best positions depend on your settings, generally its accepted the one of the ideal positions is the "near post", and I agree. Have another good jumper/header attacking far if you want and and the rest on forward.

3. Have your long shot wizards, lurking at the edge. This has the effect of helping you keep position.

4. Now if one them is really good at scoring from the outside then having corners "mixed" is not bad either. Cos the corner kick taker may decide to go for your best options. At the moment I have 1 who has a 19 for long shots and another on "near post". During "mixed" corner taking its usually to one or the other.

Another thing you want to remember is how to defend from taking your own corners. If you take a bad corner and it pops into midfield, you want to have 2 players there with good anticipation/tackling/and passing there. Cos they should try and prevent the quick break.

I have the left corner to "near post" and the right one to "Mixed". I've scored as many as 3 goals from corners in one match, that's the record for me and I was astonished. On average its much lower than that. But I do have high expectations when a corner is heading to the near post. In general that is much harder to defend from, the one to the edge of the box is much easier to defend from and does not always bang in the goals.

Just set it up right and you should score more than the average. I've played 8 games this season scored 16 goals in total in the league and 5 of them have come from corners. That's a high count. And then there was that ECL match where I scored 3 goals from corners in one match.

And one other thing..I have set piece training too and these players who are scoring all these goals have a specialised training programme which includes set pieces..if I were to break down all my goals...

16 total
5 from corners
5 from IFK
and 1 from DFK...which means that I scored 5 from open play in the last 8 games. I don't mind that since my emphasis was on set pieces in training. There are matches when the AI parks a bus in front of their goal, and this kind of thing helps.
