Which formation could you possibly use to fit in all the talent that barca now posses with henry in the mix and get the best out of them????

Well...I've never managed Barcelona before but I think that a 4-2-2-2 or the 4-1-1-2-2 would be the ideal formation....

something like having:

Try playing a 3-1-1-2-3...

Goes something like this:

FL FC FR
^<AM AM>^
MC
DM>
DL DC ^ DR

Ok hard to draw haha... you have 2 backs, and a DC in the 'left' DC position with a DMC with a down horizontal arrow to the 'right' DC spot, basically giving you a 3 1/2 back :]

The midfield is a extra defensive caution as well as a 'hold up the ball' player to get it to the front.

The two AMCs go into the missing spots on either side of the middle FC (imagine a 5 man front, they fit into the 2nd and 4th positions.

The two side forwards play as wing/forwards (think Ronaldo) and have a down farrow. The FC can also have a down arrow if hes your TM, so he will come back and flick off the AM or FL/R.

Just a thought, it might be interesting. Buying someone like Klose, Eddie Johnson, Zigic to play the FC spot and play Henry and Eto on the sides, with Ronaldihno and Messi as AMCs and Deco as the MC. Try it out =]

Its a little crazy, but try it out... with a team like Barcelona, many teams will play defensively and you can exploit this with basically a strong 5 man attack.

Don't pay attention to player choices (they were the assmans choices).. just play that with emphasis on possession (teams can counter-attack it, so keep it off their feet) and keeping the main DC and the DR/DL's out of the attack and on defense (even during free kicks, corners) and with a more narrow playing (although playing to the wing/forwards will work).

Henry and Eto'o as strikers, Ronaldinho and Messi on each flank, Deco and Iniesta in the centre. I would drop Xavi and Giuly as they are not as good as Iniesta/Deco/Messi.

I think the quadro tactic version 2 that I started using last night works well with this lineup as it doesn't use a target man much like the way barcelona only play ground style football.

It lines up the way IanZG2 described. The best way to make use of the two stikers if you were to set up your own though would be to make Henry the creative force and eto'o the finisher.

Sell Eto or Ronnie, as they may well do...

or play 3 at the back, you jut can't drop Iniesta, Xavi or Deco.
