It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Chelsea Dream Team

I've been playing Chelsea for a long while and find out that tactic and team which I found best for chelsea... Plz leave comments:

For first year:

As at the first year, Roman Abramovich will try to force you buying some star, world class player to the club, then it is wise to buy 1 or 2 world class strikers or midfielder ( strikers more preferred as chelsea's midfielder are so far superb already). The defend must be strenghten as well with at least 1 player

Myself, I've bough some young and rising star player for the defend such as: Micah Richards - DC; Marcelo - DL; Eduardo Ratinho; Rafinha - DR.
With these 3 players it is largely enough for the defend. So I will allow Geremi, Ferrera, and mostly all chelsea def wingers to move to another club, except Aslee Cole as he still have some use.

For the Midfield, as I state before, there is no need for much of change but it could be good to let Essien, Makelele go as they don't really have much chance to play in the first 11.

As for the attacking force, there could be a lot of space for change. Personally, I've let Didier Drogba go and spend the cash to secure the signature of David Villa and Adriano to Chelsea. This is due by 2 causes: To please Abramovich as he only want the best players available in the club. 2nd, it is to boost the club profile so I can increase the number of matches bringing to TV to TV. It also strengthen the squad alot.

The formation I would use is a 4-2-2-2 with
4 defenders: Aslee Cole DL - John Terry DC - Micah Richards DC - Rafinha DR
2 MC: Micheal Ballack (with a defensive mind and long shot ofther) and Frank Lampark (attacking mind)
2 AM-LR: Joe Cole and Arjeen Robben
2 FC: David Villa (on the left hand side as he have great run down the left) and Adriy Chevchenko on the right side

The mentality is a little bit attacking and fast play. Counterattack in use.

John Obi Mikel is often bring in to give him as much experience as possible. He provide great help in the future

If the attacking force is strugling in some match, use the long passing with ultra fast football, provide the ball down both flanks will help having 1-2 goals, enough to secure a win.

Try to sign some young player such as Nicholas Millan, Bojan, Niguez and let them train with all the famous player you've got in your squad to learn some of their moves.

That would help you win the the Premier Division, League Cup and FA in the first year. Champion League also possible if you're good enough.

In the 2nd year, it would be wise to try to younger the squad. As for myself, I've sold Cudicini, Michael Ballack, Adrey Chevchenko, Khalid Boularouz and Aslee Cole for some great cash at the beginning of the season and brough Kasper Schmeichel, Gareth Bale to replace. They are still very young and cheap to compare with those old ones you have. I also bring Scott Sinclair up from reserve square to provide back up for Adriano and David Villa. John Obi Mikel now should be more than enough to replace the place of Michael Ballack. Some younger players should be brought now to provide a more secure future to the club.

At the middle of the season, if you are lucky enough like me, you will be able to sell Arjeen Robben and Joe Cole for some great cash ( I've sold Arjeen Robben for 40M pound and Joe Cole for 30M pound). With 70M, it is hugely enough to buy fresh new face to the club. I've brought very young players such as Yohan Gourcuff, Silva(Valencia), and Theo Walcott.

The formation of this 2nd year will be the same as the first one except for the player

4 defenders: DL: Marcelo or Gareth Bale - DC: John Terry, Micah Richard or Raul Albion - DR: Rafinha or Eduardo Ratinho

2 MC: Def Mind: John Obi Mikel. Att Mind: Frank Lampark

2 AM RL: Beginning of season: Joe Cole and Robben
Middle of season: Silva, Yohan Gourcuff and Theo Walcott.

2 FC: David Villa and Adriano

Provinding you have enough luck and knowing what to do in some hard time and deal with the player with good action in good time, you should be more than enough to secure all cup that you have won.

Good luck to the game

You're nuts. Firstly, Essien is our {b]BEST[/b] midfielder in the game, better than Lampard and Ballack and Makelele. And in no way is Micah better than Ricardo Carvalho or Khalid Boulahrouz in the first season.

Ashley Cole and Khalid Boulahrouz are fairly young and good players and you decide to let them go and replace them with lousier players? Marcelo is not defensive oriented and Gareth Bale has not developed very well yet in just the 2nd season. Ashley Cole is the best left back in the game and you decide to sell him? Neither is Jon Obi Mikel ready to be a first teamer merely the 2nd season. From my experiences, he only starts to blossom at around the 3rd season where he would have a chance to fight for a first team place.

And Joe Cole and Robben are 2 of the best wingers in the game. Robben a bit injury prone but in all honesty, he hasn't got injured that much for me. Robben is the best left winger in the game and he's so young and you decide to bring in Silva for him when Silva's country miles behind Robben. Theo Walcott on the right wing is okay but nowhere is he near Joe Cole's level in just the 2nd season.

I advise not to follow Professor Muzkak's way of playing with Chelsea, because selling your good and young players and then replacing them with young and lousier players are not the way to manage a football club, and a worldclass one at that.

The dream team? Do this:

Buy Alves on a 24 month deal, buy David Villa on a 24 month deal, buy Eddie Johnson, buy Anthony Vanden Borre and buy Luka Modric.

Ask for more funds from your board.

Buy Frank Ribery on 24 month, buy Akinfeev, and then buy Carlos Vela.

Your all set for about 15 years.

y-y-y-you sold Drogba? what the hell. Drogba is like.. amazing in the game, he scores more goals than any. Despite being a swordn ManUtd fan I decided to see how good Chelsea was, and to see how much money mister rusian guy would give me to shop for.
I bought Gerrard, no one else. And I won the league, league cup, fa cup and champions leauge with little trouble. Eased past all the group stages and cruised the quarter final. Essien is mad good, and I fail to see why you would sell him. Also, Ratinho is hardly the best right back you could buy THAT early =/ Mercelo rocks, but come on.. Ashlee Cole is THE BEST left back in the game. I am always jealous of Chelsea for having him, terry and robben when I play them. Oh and drogba. I still can't get over the fact that you sold Drogba, he's just far too good.

I agree with Canabary...I really wish Chelsea all he bad luck possible as im a die-hard Man Utd fan but for some reason the thought of managing Chelsea appealed to me.
Selling Drogba was probably not the best move you could have made. Signing Adriano and Villa would still be easy if you ask Abramovic for the money. Personally i didn't sign Villa but Torres as i think Villa is a bit over-rated. Nor did i sign Adriano but still won all domestic competitions and reached the final of UCL.
Also, I agree with everyone else on the facts that Ashley Cole, Essien, Robben and Joe Cole are world-class players easily better than what you replaced them with. Chelsea are a bit weak on the right side of the defense but nothing a player like Dani Alves will not fix. Ratinho isn't half as good even though Richards can play on the right he hasn't developed enough.

Richards is not good enough in the beginning seasons to replace Carvalho. It's only around the 3rd season he is good enough to play regular football. Gareth Bale is not Premiership material untill around 2011. Till then he needs some good training to improves his skills. I still can't believe you sold Ashley Cole. He's probably the only player i really like from Chelsea (apart from Terry and Lampard), arguably the best left-back in the game and not old. It's not like you have to sell him as he's over 32 or something.

All i have to say is that the tactics used by Professor Muzkak in the transfer market might have worked for him but i advise not to follow the same tactics. Those players bought are not half as good as the current Chelsea players (I can't believe im actually saying this ) Chelsea don't deserve such a weak squad. If you really wanted to improve your Chelsea squad Abramovic will give you around £40m to do it so you don't have to sell your players for money to buy better ones instead.

Traitor! just kididng

If you buy villa, gerrard, ronaldinho, Rooney, Ronaldo etc. you can easily exceed the transfer budget. Abromovich will dip his hand into the money bag and finance all star transfers from his own pockets. Transfer funds = non existant with chelsea

I am totally agree with you guys that the players that I brought are litterally haft as good as the players available for the game. But come to think of it, what's the fun in using such old, well known player? For my own, it is way too boring. What I prefer to do in FM, is too find youngster and train them to become what is the so-called world-class player. Micah Richards, the player that you say can't fit well until at least at the 3rd season actually play well from my first match with an average rating of 7.98 and scoop the best english defender of the year + youngster of the year in the first year.

Gareth Bale, which is consider as my reserve for the first team actually show up some good skills. I let him play for my semi final and final for Champion League as Marcelo is injured and he come throught with 2 8.00 rating and a 9.00 rating with 4 assists.

Marcelo, which defensive skills are way weaker than Aslee Cole but with an attacking mind, he play so great with alot of assists. I have never seen Aslee Cole can do that good.

Arjeen Robben and Joe Cole are so far the best wingers in the game. I agree. But the point is that if you can let them go, let them go for some hard cash. I will never refuse to sell any player if the price is right. To me, no player is unreplaceble and there will always have aquadate cover from some where else, much cheaper.

Lastly, the realy fun for me playing FM is to find those young kids that nobody know who they are and let them show the world what they are made of.

I'm now playing the 2014-2015 season with a bunch of players that don't even exist at the first season:

GK: Joao Carlos
DL: Gareth Bale - Ryan Bertrand
DR: Eduardo Ratinho
DC: Micah Richard - Raul Albion

MR: Guillaume Insou
ML: Silva
MC: John Obi Mikel - Delnison - Schmoller

FC: Bojan - Nicolas Millan - Carlos Vela

With these bunches of players, they secure all the cup for me, including World Clup Champions, Euro Super Cup, Community Shield. Only miss the Premier Division once and twice the league cup as of injuries.
