Hi, i am currently going into the 2007/2008 season in the Seria A with Roma, after struggling to finish second in the league. Until now i have relied on short-passing tactic at home and a quick counter attacking tactic away. However, i feel that the counter attack is not effective as it is when playing in the Premiership or the Primera Division for that matter. I am planning on using these starting eleven for the new season.
GK - Doni
DL - Max Tonetto
DR - Christian Panucci
DC - Christian Chivu
DC - Philipe Mexes
RMC - Daniele De Rossi
LMC - Lucas (signed for 6m£)
AMC - Francesco Totti
AML - Marcelo (signed for 5.5m£)
AMR - Mancini
FC - Sergio Aguero (signed for 17.5m£)
reserves: GK - Amelia, DC - Matteo Ferrari, DR -Ruz, AMR/L - Ricardo Taddei, AMC - Aquilani, MC - David Pizarro, FC - Roque Santa Cruz (loan)
I consider it a strong enough squad to challenge for Seria A, but i had a hard time scoring goals last season and had troubles applying enough pressure at home and didnt succeed with the counter attacking style away.
Any suggestions on how to succeed in the Italian league would be much appreciated.
Thank you
