i signed Adriano for 9mil for my newcastle team and at times he is brilliant (hat-trick vs man u) and at times he is rubbish (7 out of 7 off target against sunderland) i just wondered if anyone knows the best way to play him, i.e individual setting or who to play with him. or is he just a waste of money and talent? and theres no way to get him back to his best?

Adriano-lazy and inconsistant-but quality? Post #2
Wow chill out! Its late and not a lot of people are online.
I'd say you have to keep him as happy as possible. Don't drop him too much, don't fine him, don't criticise him. Maybe offer him a bigger goal bonus? Maybe when you're his favourite manager he would do anything for you and play a lot better.
But i don't know. Don't have any experience with him.

He started off pretty poorly for me, I was disappointed. However, I used him as a target man with "run with ball" and "run onto ball" and he worked wonders. He outplayed Ibrahimovic in the first season, and his value went from $22M to $51M by the end of the first season. Get him in form and fit and he is definately quality.

I tested both out, and they both seemed to work about the same. Since my team used through balls alot, I left it with run onto ball. But I imagine that it wouldn't make much difference.
