In my first season as Newcastle and im January and have recieved a 17M bid for Martins from Fiorentina. He hasn't exactly set the woprld alight scoring-wise but he's obviously still a good player.

Do you think this offer is good enough and if not how much should i ask for?

Also who do you reccommend as a suitable replacement bearing in mind i already have 12M in the kitty,

Have you offered him a new contract since he started?? If not, I'd accept that offer because he has a 13M release clause anyway. There are plenty of strikers out there who can easily replace him. Depends what kinda striker you want. Do you want a TM or a fast striker? If you want a TM, look at Huntelaar, Bianchi, Pazzini I suppose. If you want a quick guy, have a look at Rodrigo Palacio, Cesar Delgado (a lot of quality and super cheap), Goran Pandev (if he's not already at Chelsea).

They should all be available under 20M. Palacio should be around 10M, Delgado under 5M. The rest too around the 15-20M mark. :thup:

I'd sell. I got offered 12.75m + 9m over 24 months from AC milan. i got rid. I'm surprised Mike Ashley didn't accept for you.

I'm still looking for a replacement myself, i'm using eidur gudjonson at the moment, he seems pretty good. he's on loan for the season. I might see what they want for him.

any other suggestions apart from the usual suspects.

i bought him for Chelsea for 11m and now 2 seasons on he's worth 20m and scored a hellva lotta goals. But if he's not workin' for u then yea take it.
