I'm Newcastle, currently halfway through my first season. After an amazing run (18 unbeaten), I'm 3rd in the Premiership, 3 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.

So far, I haven't brought in many 'big' players.
Dzsudzsak, Marin, Zarate (on fantastic form), Abenzoar, Julio Arca and Costil. The only player of any real value has been Gyan, who hasn't played yet.

I am thanking the lord for my luck at the moment, and I really believe if I keep my current form that I can finish in the top four.

The thing is, I lack cover for my defence. I'm looking for the following players next season...

A first-team defensive midfielder.
A young, talented central defender.
Back-up full backs for each side.

For central defence I'd like either Corluka or Richards. Breno would also be nice.

Diarra is unsettled and he knows that I'm interested, also Arsenal said that they'd sell him.

Any other suggestions? I reckon I'll get quite a bit of money for finishing in a Champions League spot.

Get Breno for centre back and Richards for defensive mid. For right back get Rafinha, rotate with your current RB. For LB get Guilherme, Sakho or Pander.

Yeah, Richards can cost a lot. If he's too much try Zapater, Veloso or Banega. Or Leonardo Ponzio.

I'm not much of a fan of Banega, I know he comes highly acclaimed but I've bought him before and he was a bit of a flop for me.

I need someone with the strength, adaptability and experience to slot STRAIGHT into my FIRST team, as I have no idea how long Nicky Butt is going to last, and his pace is at an abysmal level already. His high levels of technique, marking, tackling, anticipation and strength JUST make up for this, but the slightest decline in either his physical or technical attributes would spell an imbalance that would make him a pretty useless player.

I need a talented, experienced defensive midfielder, preferably one already established in a league at the level of the English Premiership.

For the other positions, this level of experience is not required as they will not particularly be immediately in the first team.
Saying that, they will of course be more than just backup players.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
