2012 Sleipner - Allsvenskan

The close season saw the IK Sleipner finally come to their senses and come up with a decent wage structure for the club. £90kpm wages and £825k transfer budget. Used it to bring in a couple more youngsters, not chance of getting within a bulls roar of the wage budget. No-one over 24 with 2 legs wants to move to Norrkoping.

Also was offered the Sweden U21 job and in the interests of improving my standing in world football, took the job. Long story short we bombed out of Euro '12 in the group stage, I resigned the next day in disgust.

Our first foray into top flight football was disturbingly comfortable. Never in the hunt for the title but always top half. We ended up 3rd qualifying for the Royal League. Go Scandinavia

The season was bizarrely subdued as you may have guessed. No emotion at all. That continued in the Royal League where we were surreally (is that a word ) supreme in the group stages. We wrapped up first place after 5 of 6 matches with 25F, 5A, then followd that with a 10-1 club record smashing of the bottom side after they scored first. In the semis we bombed out to fellow Swedish side Malmo FF.

Goteberg got the flag (yawn) and Orebro bagged the cup. Vasteras SK finished 8th in the Superettans (1st div elite) for another season of mediocrity.

Fingers crossed for some more excitement next term...

2013 Sleipner - Allsvenskan

The clubs' first European sojourn obviously gave the players big heads as we bombed out to 9th in the Allsvenskan. With 3 games to go we were equal with the relegation playoff spot, but managed to win the last 3.

No Europe next term.

2014 Sleipner - Allsvenskan

Much better this year only concentrating on the league, lost in our first cup match due to sending out 11 reserve players

After a ding-dong battle for first with Goteberg we missed out on the automatic CL place by 4 points to finish a club record 2nd. Crowds are on the up with an average of 1976 per match. My wallet is significantly fatter, with £5k per month being poured in.

Other financial indicators are on the up and we have a wadload of cash in the bank. Still semi-professional though

Back into the Royal League and Champions League 3rd round qualifying

2015 Sleipner - Allsvenskan

We ballsed up the Royal League, getting trounced by Goteberg (). We had the highest ponts of 3rd place teams so went through to the quarter final. 8 of 12 teams go through from 3 groups. Bombed out in the quarters to Brondby of Denmark.

In a very tight finish Sleipner finished 4th in the league. Could have ended up 2nd behind goteberg() with a win in the last game

Made it to the final of the Svenska Cupen but got rolled by goteberg() 1-0: (

So back to the Royal League and uefa cup next term

Still no silverware but we did turn professional  Have nearly £9m in the kitty.

{B]2017 Sleipner - Royal League Update[/B]
aka. the most bizarre thing I've seen ages...

After 4 matches we were first with 3 wins and a loss. We were playing pretty well, but there was no explaining what happened next: my 18yo amfc who just got his first full international callup slotted 8 goals out of Sleipner's 14 for the match

The ratings for the opposition players were mostly 1s

The Royal League table is taking on a rather skewed look.

This is the young prodigy in question, and his recent form :kris3:

Sorry if you don't like screenies, I don't either , but this was too bizarre to keep to myself

Nice work. IK Sleipner is a team with a lot of history in Swedish football. They played in Allsvenskan when it started 1925. And they won there first Swedish championship in 1937/38.
