I seem to get to a point where my team finishes a season strongly and I feel confident for the season ahead, only for the team to play absolutely terribly and force me to resign.

It's happened with all three of my previous clubs in my current save - and all at either the fourth or fifth season in charge.

Without meaning to tip (), you might want to take a couple of U-18 games when you're on that old aquaplane.
If the game is 'stuck' on its 'random seed', something like that may just give it the little kick it needs.

And in response to Wizzle's cruel barb ( ), just the U-18s. When my Ass Man runs them, they play ****. The way I do it, they actually win some matches. It doesn't take all that much time...

Not really. If the game's screwing you over because of a bug, you should try to find a way around it. Realistically, of course, but managing the U-18s once in a while is hardly unrealistic, is it?

Current season; started with 10 games without a loss, 8-2-0, next 7 without a win, 0-3-4, next 4 wins.

The 7 matches without a win I changed personnel, tactics, my demeanour and domintated some games, got domintated in others. That is the worst I've experienced and if it continues this year and for the following seasons, I'll agree wholeheartedly.

I for 1 do not believe in the Aquaplanning theory.I have only 1 long term save of FM06 running at this time, up to season 22/23.I can usually find a reason why my team is losing, has normally to do with an injury list as long as my playing list.In my last season as Instituto before I jumped ship we lost 1st game then went on an 18 game unbeaten run to top the championship, I had plenty of injuries but had enough talent to cover them.I have noticed star player fade at times. Without trying to give too much away, there is always a reason why a team drops its bundle against lower teams, its not a conspiracy there are ways to get over the 'this team are too crap for us to play we gonna kill them OOPS we lost'.I am actually wishing now that I stuck with Instituto just to disprove Aquaplanning. If I still had him I'd sell you the Right Foot of god for 50mil.

As I explained in the rant thread, I did discover aquaplanning last season with Livar.
We beat 7-0 relegation candidates in SVN 2nd Div. then went on 7 games winless streak, where we couldn't score no matter what I changed in ym tactics. if we scored, the opposition would equalize with one player off the field. Even when they were underdogs. Then, we won a match 5-0 without changing anything and went on 9 games winning streak. Realistic?

The AI has found a great way of keeping me down.

When playing against one of the big reputation clubs, I can guarantee you that I will either:

a) Concede a penalty when a defender jumps to clear a throw into the box;

b) Have a DC sent off for dragging back the opposition ST; or

c) Have the ball nicked off the toe of my keeper and placed into am empty net.

The regularity of this is astonishing.
