I can't remember ever going through a season unbeaten, I can't remember going through a season without "aquaplaning". Does this mean it's an LL thing, in that if you play without *ahem* "help" that you're destined to suffer this anguish?

Wed 1st Feb: Blackburn Rovers 4-3 Manchester United
Sat 4th Feb: West Brom 2-0 Blackburn, despite having the same number of shots, earning 3 more coners and conceding 6 less fouls.
You could read that as a mitivationproblem. Every club wants to beat Manure, Chelski and Arsenal, when they play a club like Wigan, Sunderland or WBA after that they are going to draw/lose it because the focus on that game is lower due to the fact they are just "small/low/*****" clubs. The fans feel the same way I think, so they shall give less presure on the team when they tend to play a little bit worse.
And yes, you can totally outshoot your opponent and still lose 0-1, it happens IRL as well (relegationplayoffs in Holland: Graafschap - Willem II, Graafschap had at least 10 shots on but the Willem II GK held everything, Willem II had their 1!! shot on target in the 87th minute so they won 0-1).
Knock on wood btw, I didn't have an aquaplaning yet with Man City iirc, although I'm just 11 games underway in the new season.
This always seems to happen during the mid to end-season. It seems like the game is throwing more power at you to see how you cope with it. It happens too often for it to be a coincidence I think. Weak teams seems to play a lot better against you, at times outplaying you. Take my last season for instance. Lost only two games and got promoted. Both losses were against poor sides. I got totally outplayed at home by a team that barely saved their place.
Is this possible IRL? Of course. But it happens too often. Perhaps SI have put in code to throw out freak results now and then so the Man Utds and Chelskijs out there don't win every time, but I think they have overdone it a bit.
