Looked good. Hope this is how Germany will play in the harder matches too. Having an ex-attacker in charge surely helps. Would have loved it if Costa Rica took them down though.

Apparently the supergoalie 'bug' isn't just present in FM...

Fantastic match by T&T. Bring on Brazil for the final

I thought the Ivory Coast gave the Argies all they could handle. But Hernan and friends demonstrated how dangerous they are.

The mark of a great team isn't that they win when they play well...its when they win when they play like crap.

The Argies and the Poofers both did that.

The Dutch were impressive. Well, on the defense they were crap, but good at the front.

Oh, semi-player-naming there

Is it just me, or are most of the teams appearing completely incapable of getting a good cross into the box, England and Mexico aside.

If S&M had got even a few decent crosses in, they could have scored a couple. Iran were badly missing someone who could find their hitman. Ivory Coast & Argentina were both pretty rank from corners... the list goes on.

Even the Dutchies only had 1 player who could whip one in; as a reply to Pangaea, he was the Dutch attack today. The rest of them just ran around a bit.

True turnip. But he was mighty good.

S&M could have done some serious damage if they had better timing and better co-ordination in runs and movements etc.

England had a decent first half, and crap second.

Actually the only team that's been fairly good so far are the krauts. Portugal will probably rape Angola though. It shouldn't be a contest. If Germany improves through the championship as they have a bad habit of doing they can get dangerous.

Overall a dissappointing start to the WC.

I'm not seeing a raping from Portugal, and frankly I never expected one, with Angola having been colonialized by the Portugese back in the day.
