I have been playing a manager of small club for a number of years (fm2006).We all know it's uphill battle Sign young and talented player develping them to real stars but what is happenig they refuse to renew a contract so I always have to sell them before they have ^ months left on their contract.
It is very frustrating to try to hang on to better player and telling them that U wannna club to progress in other to fulfilll their ambitions.
THEY sometimes back down from the row but still refuse to sign a new contract.
My club is not of great reputation 3500 but I love the challenge and want the best for them.
What would happen if I"ve won a few championship and cups would that change reputation of my club and would the better players stay in it.
The reputation of the clubs, in FM 06, changes very slowly and you can reach the premiership and find that players still want to leave for bigger clubs (better reputation).
Many of your players will still, only sign if offered a contract as a essential member of the team. This has been discussed on GQ and SI are aware of it so we are hoping for a better set up in FM07.

I don't alter my editor but I've only mentioned that to have my question better understood.
The editor, in here, is known as the spawn of satan. I did not even know there was a way of accessing the reputation of a club by using it.
In here, we tend to play using only the knowledge that we would have, or would gain realistically, as a brand new manager starting up in the lowest league available in any particular country.
Reputation does indeed grow robotnik. It stays a tad behind of your advances, of xure, but it still does grow.
Relating my later signings and their wanted wages I'd say my club is mid-high League 2 by reputation standards and that's some improvement from the lowest of the low in Conference North/South.
If you want your reputation to catch up with you you could always stay some 5 seasons in the league you're now without getting promoted. That should do the trick
I've never used the editor, but can't you simply click on info, where it tells you you're clubs rep??? For example, my club is now continental, which i learned my clicking info....
