Coming into the club I had no money for transfer and a small squad of 23 players, 1 coach, 1 physio and 1 scout. There were a couple of decent players in the first eleven including one international (Caymen Islander SC) and one who makes the international squad but never gets caps (Jamaican DC). The rest however were pretty shocking.
Despite this we started on fire not conceeding for eight games, however this soon turned into a downward slide taking us into the bottom half for most of the season. A couple of free signing from higher league clubs gave us a boost and we eventually finished the season a credible 12th. The Caymen SC was Fans POTY with 17 goals. I also promoted one player to player/coach.

Still with no transfer funds, free transfers were the order of the day, with a new SC and a new DR both making an impact. This propelled us early on towards the play-off spots however a devastating injury crises mid-season sunk us back to mid-table. At the peak of the crisis we only had one availible GK and two players on the bench.
Eventually we overcame this and surged towards the playoffs making them easily in 3rd spot. However, we were easily thrown aside 3-5 by a rampant Farnborough in the play-offs. Once again Caymen SC with 25 goals.

Despite having a small transfer budget of £14k I only brought in five free transfers, although a couple of handy ones who broke into the first team. Three people left for nothing in return due to Nott County and Woking stealing my players albeit one of them because he was unhappy with his pay deal.
On the field the team really came together and led for the whole campaign. We started with a blast and were up to 10 points clear at some stages, however we only just fell over the line to win the title thanks to a couple of late losses to just edge out the chasing Billericay. A SC I got on a free from Leyton Orient won Fans POTY with 22 goals. Also my young Aussie right winger made the U21 squad although no caps. I was also rewarded with a new 2-year contract and a £20 pay rise. :thup:
