After a hearty chat with frank he pointed me in the direction of perhaps the worst club in wales (that are playable). That is the club known officially as Cardiff Grange Quins.
Known in game as Grange Harlequins, and to their fans as simply, The Quins.
Now I hear you ask who is this illustrious team? Well if you crave more information and don't mind seeing the name of their top scorer in real life take a look here. http://www.welsh-premier.com/sa_club_guide.php?cid=34
A few choice quotes.
Quote:
Cardiff-based outfit who won promotion to the Welsh Premier for the first time in 2005, but were relegated after just one season.
Quote:
biggest league home defeat 6-0 by Carmarthen Town, 11/04/06
biggest league away defeat 8-0 at Carmarthen Town, 10/12/05
Oh and they have a gay mincer as their club badge visable here. .
Expecting to go down I set about setting up a strong defense, by packing it full of as many players as possible, heck I even tried the famous left sided sweeper once. Playing a continental style with 5 at the back resulted in many 0-0 draws and a few 1-0 defeats and not many goals scored.
I signed a few players and half way through the season, hanging just over the relegation spots decided to try something new. Poofland tactic, the traditional. Things changed and the new players gelled, a late run saw the Quins finish the season in 6th position.

Not bad for relegation candidates, although I will confess we did get quite lucky towards the end.
Welsh Cup :- Didnt even play in it FAW Premier CUP :- Again didnt even get to play..sucks arse anyway. Welsh Challenge Cup :- First Round knocked out by Airbus.
Signed a Promising 21 year old Left winger, a rock center back (haha) and two young forwards, as well as many young players who go through my revolving doors.
The Angles have changed so to speak, the board still thinks we will struggle as do the supporters but they havent seen THE POWER other wise known as the left winger who shares his name with a declinging electronics store.
AML was in outstanding form and his stats jumped, my strikers began to mature, netteing around 15 goals each ove the coarse of the season, one even getting a call up to the welsh u21's.
Made a few more signings, mostly players out for small sums of money, frees and schoolboys in (ooeerr missus).
Money is a problem, by the end of this season im 120k in the hole, losing 12k a month, gate recipts dont cover the cost of putting on a match let alone wages.
By the end of the year my AML has won both Fans Player of the Year and the Welsh League's player of the year (not welsh player of the year 2 awards, ex Newcastle "I wont ever leave..ohh celtic" welsh poof forward has a monopoly on that).
Finish in 2nd.\ and get placed int he qualification rounds to the CL. Hopefully a payday on the way :gil:

Winners were TNS, Bangor came in 3rd.
Cups (SA)
Welsh Challnge Cup :- Out first round to Connah's Quay 3-1 over 2 legs. FAW Premier Cup :- Out in the Quarter Final 2-0 at home to Wrexham (why are they allowed in our cups anyway?!) Welsh Cup Third Round lost 2-1 to non-league Albion Rovers (the welsh one).
Next update might be a few minutes..I kinda cheated and I've got 3 games to go on the 3rd season!
The Board now expect a mid table position, the bookies put me at 5-1 for the title the fans expected top half.
My players all excelled, then I suffered the worst injury crisis I've seen, 13...yes 13 first teamers out including 3 broken legs and a broken hip :grandad:.
Still fought through it all, thankfully Bangor and Aberystwyth also slipped and I climbed to the top and pretty much stayed there all season.

Euro Cup
1st Round - Beat Nistru Otaci (who) 6-4 over two legs including a 6-1 victory at home (woo) to get a big money tie with.... (drum roll please)
Krylja Sovetov, some russian premier team, all lost 4-0 over 2 legs but netted over 300k in gate recipts and prize money, cleared my debt and allowed the club to run at its traditional 12k a month loss for another 4 season. Woo.
