I don't buy this at all. He can be a LLaMa today if he wants. FM07 won't be coming with a brain eraser as far as I know.

No, he can't do both. I'm an advocate for that. What I meant was if he decides to come over and stop trawling the other places then he'll be welcome here.

There's no 'waiting period' as it were to make sure you forget those supertactics or great freebies. Supertactics don't really exist (afaik) and good young freebies aren't all that likely to come to the lower leagues of Indonesia . At least, that's how I see it.

I think you've missed my point a little Wewak - I didn't say he couldn't become a LLaMa until '07, just not a 100% dyed-in-the-wool LLaMa.

Kostis mentioned this in another thread and I agree. A poster in T&TT/GPG can decide at any point to become a LLaMa, providing he/she realises that those fora are mutually exclusive to LLM. However, because of the knowledge gained from them, said person cannot truly claim to be 100% LLM until that knowledge becomes invalidated by a new iteration of the game (brain eraser notwithstanding - this has always been mentioned as the point when any prior knowledge becomes moot).

Even now, having spent over 7 months doing it LLM, compared to just over a month or so in T&TT, there is always a suspicion (in my own mind) that my tactics, training, team-talks, everything, may owe a little something to that time in T&TT, no matter how much I may consciously think otherwise.

I accept that. It's no big deal. I'm enjoying my games, and I'm playing just like any other LLaMa. The only real difference it makes is that I don't feel able to post updates. So, in practical terms, the distinction I was making doesn't have a big effect, but there can't really be any doubt that there is a distinction. Therefore, I stand by my original statement. :p

I could extend your logic and say that the only true LLaMa would be one who has never seen football and wouldn't even know how many players are on a team. A mad football fan living in Europe who has completed coaching badges would have far too much knowledge. If you play it properly it doesn't make a lick of difference to me if you have just made your last post in TT&T 5 minutes ago. But I know I'm pretty much on my own there though.

Shocking though it may seem aussie, I agree with you. :eek: I have never visited either of those forums, but I find the concept of redemption more important than virginal purity. No one lives in a vacuum. We all bring different levels of knowledge and perspective to the game. Heck, we're all from different cultures. But we all believe in the philosophy of Frank. So if some guy converts from a dsiciple of the Spawn of Satan, sees the error of his ways and realizes the satisfaction gleaned from playing this way, I would just say he grew up and became a LLama later in life.
