You don't get it about LLamas. We don't go to the other fora to "figure the game out". Being a Llama isn't a way to "play the game". Being a llama means no shortcuts. No hints. ITs a philosophy about how someone plays games. How they learn from their own mistakes. How they have their own little ephiphanies. (which by the way are some of the truly rewarding experiences of being a Llama). Load the game up and play with it. You don't have to start out of the box doing a 15 season save with updates (after the first three seasons of course). But by using other peoples knowledge instead of what the game gives you (the crap rules manual) you are not using YOUR brain. You're using someone else's. Did you copy your term papers in school too? Once you have a modicum of knowlege of the gaming system, then visit Frank and start trying to play as a LLama. But first---RTFH a couple of times.

That's the idea. I'm working on archiving the medicum of knowledge now. We might do it in different ways, but it's all a road to the same goal.

LLM's about playing the game realistically, it's about finding that out on your own, without asking anyone else, without using other people's tactics, without using other people's players.

GPTG and T&TT are a pair of Fora that are mutually exclusive with LLM.

You can't be nearly a virgin, like with LLM you either is or you ain't.

That won't change, that's the way it is, if you don't like it you can lump it.

Of course, if you've never played the game before, this is a perfectly acceptable way of getting into it. But it will exclude you from being a LLaMa.

If you quit there right now, you still couldn't be a bonafide 100% dyed in the wool LLaMa until FM2007, because anything you've learnt in those fora prevents you from knowing the true LLM experience until a new version comes out and you start with a clean slate.

This last applies to me too, by the way, because I use to post in T&TT, so trust me, how they say it is is how it is.
