10-11 Cherbourg
Board expect mid-table again, odds are we'll end up in that same spot. Three players out, and it'll just be a matter of time until my 19 year old D L is poached, as a number of big clubs are after him, bidding 0, and he won't sign again so I'll be losing him. Two players in, one a D L in anticipation of losing him, and a young D C.
Success! A 10 match undefeated streak at the end of the season took us to the French National title! Had promotion clinched with 5 matches to go.
Again, we go all the way to the semis of the French Cup, losing to Nantes 2-1, with them scoring the winner in injury time. Beat Monaco in extra time in the quarters.
Had the leading goalscorer in the division, with 26, who was also named player of the season, and fans player of the year. Two players on the subs bench of team of the year, and had the two runners up for most promising player. Personally, I collected the Manager of the Year award. Canada
Two friendlies saw a 4-2 win over Surinam, and a 2-2 draw with Martinique, while just giving an opportunity to possible up and comers.
Finished 2nd in our Gold Cup group, with the US and Puerto Rico. Ended up meeting Brazil in the quarters, and the best we could do was a 2-1 loss. Of course, we missed a penalty, while they converted theirs.
Since the Gold Cup, we had another friendly, which saw us dominate Qatar 5-1.

11-12 Cherbourg
Board expect us to battle bravely, which I unfortunately am not certain we'll manage to do. Odds give us 80-1 for promotion, so nobody thinks we'll make any noise.
My young, star D L won't sign a new contract, so I figure I should sell him now, rather than wait for him to leave on a free in 18 months. Two clubs, Panathanaikos and Rangers, were willing to wait until the end of the season to take him away, so those were the bids I accepted. He will be moving onto Greece in the summer, for a cool 3 Million Euros.
So, we stay up, 17th place with 40 points, and a surprising goal difference of just -6. If we cut down on the goals allowed, we should be safe again next season.
Lose in the quarters of the French Cup to Ligue 2 winners Le Mans, 3-2 in extra time. Had a penalty late in regular time, which was saved. League Cup saw us out in the Preliminary round.
Fans player of the year is again the S C who led us in all competitions with 24 goals. The young DL, as his last honour as a member of Cherbourg, is named to France's squad for the U-21 European Championships.
Another boost sees my U-18s win their league, Group 4, by 7 points, and only allowing 13 goals in 28 matches. Canada
Friendlies saw us beating Lichtenstein 3-0, and then lose to Romania and the Ukraine by identical 3-1 scorelines.
Then we drew the Cayman Islands in the 2nd round of World Cup Qualifying (which isn't done correctly I might add), winning by an 8-0 aggregate. We'll move onto the Semi-Final round, in group 3 along with T&T, Anguilla and the Bahamas.

Looks as though I may be losing my save. Hopefully a re-install of the game saves it, but I get a critical error at the same point in 2013.

Thankfully, moving the save to my laptop, and then playing past the date before moving it back to my desktop allowed my save to continue!
12-13 Cherbourg
Board figure we'll battle bravely, and the odds this year are even worse, at 150-1. I guess the loss of my D L really affects the oddsmakers views on us.
This season sees us in a promotion battle. Needed a win to leapfrog 2nd placed Troyes, who we played in the final match of the season. Our GK gets injured in the 30th minute, with us up 2-0. Unfortunately, they drew level with 15 minutes to go (after watching the replay dozens of times, their opener was offside, but the assistant referee was so far behind the play. If SI want realism, assistants should at least be coded to be CLOSE to the play! He was 15 yards behind the ball after the player picked up the rebound! ) and we miss out on promotion by 1 point, ending up in 5th. Positions 2 through 6 were seperated by just 2 points.
Lost in the 11th round of the Cup, and the 1st round of the League Cup.
Fans player of the year, the same S C, was also named in the Second League Stars Team of the Season, and the Second League XI, and was also was 2nd in goals, and in League Player of the Year. A young S C who was promoted from my youth program ended up as the League's Most Promising. Canada
CONCACAF Gold Cup saw us finish 3rd, our only losses coming to Brazil, once in the group stages, once in the semis.
Five qualifiers, four wins, one loss. A thrilling 4-3 home win over Mexico, and a come from behind 2-1 win in the Caribbean over T&T, the winner coming in the 91st minute. The lone loss was a horrific match vs USA. The win over Mexico officially raised us into the FIFA Top 10, however we are behind both Mexico and the States.

The linesmen can't keep up with the game in real life either my stout drinking friend.
SI have commented on this before and said that, 'they wanted it to be as real as possible in that there are some controversial decisions in football', or words to that effect.
Here's to beating the Yanks in the world rankings!

| For a club, you can find your continental rating by clicking on, for example, World> Europe> Champions Cup and then clicking the Coefficient button.
For a nation, go to World> World Cup> World Cup and then click on World Rankings.
