Season 2017
Sandvikens IF – Division 1 North

After a pre-season without a win in 6 games, we were drawn against SG 97 in the first round of the Swedish Cup. A game we won (2-1) after goals from our midfield loan from Djurgården and from our top defender. In the second round we were drawn against Malmö FF, the reigning Swedish Champions, with five Swedish Championship titles in the last six seasons. A big crowd came out to the game (2469), and saw us put up a good fight against Malmö. They won 2-1, but we did not look out of place against the best team in Sweden.

A game that boosted the moral and that gave us a good start to the season, despite the fact that it was a loss. The supporters, the board and me all shared the same expectations for the season, to fight bravely against regulation, but the season turned out to be better then expected. As we played our way to playoff, as only runaway winners Västerås finished ahead of us.

In the promotion playoff we took on Floda from Division 1 South. The first game was won rather easy at home 2-0. In the second game things became a bit more interesting tough, as they forced extra time after scoring two goals in the second half. The extra time started with a penalty to us, witch was converted into a goal. Then Floda scored, with us getting another goal only two minutes later. And right before the extra time was up; our defensive midfielder buried a 20 yard shot.

So next season, we will take on the teams in First Division Elite, or as it is called in Sweden, Superettan. This without our top center defender who we sold to Allsvenskan outfit Elfsborg. A transfer that put the bank balance into black, and gave me some much needed transfer money.

League: 2nd G26, W13, D6, L7, 47-26 (+21) P45
Playoff: Floda (2-0, 3-3) PROMOTION!
Swedish Cup: 2nd round (1-2 Malmö FF)

Season 2018
Sandvikens IF – Superettan (First Division Elite)

The board, the fans and I all had the same expectations before the season started, to fight bravely against relegation. And not only did we manage to stay out of the relegation battle, we managed to have some hope for promotion, as we battled for third place for much of the season, a position that would have meant promotion playoffs. In the end we dropped of the pace, and finished sixth. Not bad considering a bunch of injuries towards the end of the season.

Despite our jump to the second highest level in Sweden, the fans were not easy to get to the games. Our average attendance was only 464, despite the second best home record in the entire division. The biggest home crowd was against Djurgården, 973 people made there way to Jernvallen. A game we also won 1-0.

Our top player this past season, was the 32 year old central defender from Cameroon, who we signed last season for £2,000. The seasoned Cameroonian, has a long history of playing in Sweden, before joining us, he played 10 seasons with Halmia and 3 seasons with Norrköping. He played 27 games with a 7.44 rating to show for it. Top scorer this past season, was a 23 year old winger/forward. Who after three seasons playing on the right side of the midfield, was put up front due to injuries, and he exploded with 10 goals in the last 11 games.

League: 6th G30, W13, D10, L7, 49-37 (+12), P49
Swedish Cup: 2nd round (0-2 Nyköping)

Tour de Suéde has taken a strange bounce, as I was approached by Molde from Norway. Molde had fallen out of Tippeligan (Premier division), and was hovering around relegation from Division 1. So they decided that I was the man to save them, and when they offered a transfer kitty along with a nice payraise. I was unable to resist, so now I am in Norway

Tour de Suède has turned into Tour de la Norvège, as I have moved on to Molde.

Season 2019
Sandvikens IF – Superettan (First Division Elite)
Molde FK – Adeccoligaen (First Division)

The season started great with Sandviken in Superettan, as we went on a six game unbeaten streak. Hammarby halted the streak, as they beat us silly (4-0) and sent the moral packing. After 10 games we were sixth in the standings, and all of the sudden Molde in Norway came knocking on the door. Molde wanted me to take over as they had fired there manager, after falling to 12th place in the first division. Molde had just been relegated from the top division, and was looking for a quick return. And 19 games later, I had managed to turn around there season. And thanks to 13 straight wins we finished second behind Odd Grenland (who beat us twice), and Molde was back in the top flight.

The highest rated player for Molde, was a 22 year old defensive midfielder who I signed when I arrived. He finished the season with 15 games and a healthy 7.93 rating. Top scorer was a 22 year old striker from Morocco who played his third season in Norway. He managed to score 17 goals in 29 games. Witch made him the fourth best scorer in the division.

League: 2nd, G30, W19, D3, L8, 71-27 (+44), P60

Season 2020
Molde FK – Tippeligan (Premier Division)

A high paced season, were we brought in 8 new players for a total of £210,000, while 16 players left the club (most on free transfers). And first it looked like we were really out of our league; as we were drawn into the relegation battle from the get go. While we were struggling in the league, we had a solid cup run that lasted all the way to the quarter-final, were fellow Tippeligan team Tromsø beat us 3-2. Our solid cup run also got the team going, as we ended up with a nice 8 game winning streak that elevated us from the relegation battle, and saw us finish in 6th place.

At the end of the season, five players had been selected to the Norwegian u-21 team and one our strikers had been picked to play for Morocco. I also got to see my players pick up; Norwegian attacker of the year, Norwegian midfielder of the year, Norwegian defender of the year and Norwegian player of the year. Not a bad season from the lads. Despite the crappy start 

League: 6th, G26, W10, D7, L9, 46-35 (+11), P37
Norwegian Cup: Quarter final (2-3 Tromsø)

I'm inspired again. My most enjoyable game ever was a mostly Swedish, Scandinavian save. I've just asked Frank for a nice Northern team and been told to go to Lofoten in Norway.

KUTGW and KUTinspiring bods like me
