LLM guidelines when it comes to hiring staff. Interpretation question.
Hi,
I've just dived into the whole LLM thing to try and rekindle my interes for FM (a LLM update will hopefully be produced, but three seasons is an eternety and a half for me...)
Anyhow, I had a question that needed asking:
-When signing staff, are you only allowed to/urged to sign staff that answer job advertisments? Or doesn't the whole search screen restrictions come in to play with staff in the same manner as with players? Or somewhere inbetween?
The reason I ask is that all I get when applying for staff when managing an English club is Turkish, German and Finnish applications. And I don't find that very realistic, when I would expect to hire obscure/unknown English/local coaches. The club wouldn't realisticaly advertise the position outside of England, if even that.
So what does the Llamas say about this?

Who'd sign for your Club? Not a Nigerian International, not a guy who only talks Mongolian, not a guy with a worldwide reputation, probably some skanky ex-amateur who speaks the language of your country of playing.
Use the Scout Search screen but use it realistically.
The Job Centre's a great idea, but it's sh*t*

I would have prefered the job centre, as it would realisticaly limit my options in quality.
What I've done now is to limit myself to the unproven/unknown coaches. I still find it unrealistic though, as I get to pick and choose to find coaches with the right attributes. Since the coaches are unproven, I shouldn't really know the exact attributes of all of them.
Still, I think it's the least of two evils, so I'll stick with it for now.
Thanks, iajafer!

That's an excellent point, erlando. FoW for staff would be a good thing.
