Default player discipline

I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else:

With two seperate clubs, one in the conference south and one in the north, I have disciplined players for receiving red cards (two yellows) after arguing with the ref. I've only issued warnings but the players have gone nuts. With my conference south team the player I disciplined got so upset he galvanized the team against me. I was unable to resign three of my top players at the end of the season. With my north team (same save) I just received a transfer request from a player I gave a warning to. Where do these lads get off? Doesn't anybody have discipline in the lower leagues. Needless to say I'm standing strong. If you're going to be a baby I don't want you on my team.

Usually I fine blokes who get stupidly sent off 2 weeks' wages.

It's usually because of violent behavior, though. You know... Kicking, hitting with the elbow, that kind of stuff.

Are you sure you used the right reason for reprimanding said players??

Can't really discuss this much as it could easily lead to tipping.

I will point out, though, that real life managers have the same problems too - some players get arsey while others take it on the chin.

Sacked, excellent he’s one of us

Of course JB it is very difficult to tell you of our experiences without it being construed as advice. I will say however that I have disciplined my players and it worked out well but after 20 odd years at Basingstoke I disciplined a player and got sacked!!

BARSTEWARDS!!!

Despite everyone's general poofiness on the LLaMa political compass, you'll probably find most of them sit with me on the issue of in-game discipline.

Come down hard every time. If they get upset leave 'em to rot in the reserves.
