I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else:
With two seperate clubs, one in the conference south and one in the north, I have disciplined players for receiving red cards (two yellows) after arguing with the ref. I've only issued warnings but the players have gone nuts. With my conference south team the player I disciplined got so upset he galvanized the team against me. I was unable to resign three of my top players at the end of the season. With my north team (same save) I just received a transfer request from a player I gave a warning to. Where do these lads get off? Doesn't anybody have discipline in the lower leagues. Needless to say I'm standing strong. If you're going to be a baby I don't want you on my team.
Of course JB it is very difficult to tell you of our experiences without it being construed as advice. I will say however that I have disciplined my players and it worked out well but after 20 odd years at Basingstoke I disciplined a player and got sacked!!
Dont worry jrbackon I had the same problem earlier today, 2 players 2 yellows each in same game, also the biggest game of season so far i only issued a warning and now there mad!
