When you get offered a job they offer you a salary which you can negotiate. What is the point of this?

Surely the higher wage you pick will affect the clubs finances so you will be better off having as low as salary as possible.

Apart from the personal satisfaction of knowing you can demand more money wages are all about security.

If you're on a higher wage it's going to cost a club a lot more to sack you. Hence you'll be given just that little bit more time to turn things around.

I think when they sack you there should be something that says how much compensation they have paid you.

I negotiated a low salary, but they came back with the same offer they gave me.
So I just accept what they give me.

I don't know for 100% certainty that it's been coded into the game but I've had many a discussion about it on this forum and this is the general opinion of the people who have a very good knowledge of the game. That coupled with my own experiences leads me to believe it is true.

Would you care to put forward your evidence to support it not being in the game?

It defo effects how much compensation clubs have to pay if you leave to become there manager whilst contracted to another club.

Garbage? It's common sense.

It should be the same situation as when you decidde to release a player or staff from your club. You still have to compensate for the remainder of the player/staff contracts, remember?

Similarly, it is "believe" to affect the club finances if the board decides to sack you before your contract ends. Which is why having a higher wage makes them thinks twice before giving the sack before your contracts ends (and if your team is underperforming!!!).

However, this is just speculation from RL players and the manaager's wages seemed to have no other use in the game.
