I took over at Palencia, in the Spanish Segunda B2 (3rd division), in December 2011 and it's now October 2012. I have feeder club arrangements with four Spanish teams (all below the 3rd division, and have been since the game started) and one Portuguese team (in the Portuguese 3rd division). I hadn't looked very closely at the arrangements with all of these clubs.
Palencia's financial situation is not great. When I took over, they were more than 2 million pounds in debt; now, after a couple of cash injections and big player sales, we're around -950k.
[On an unrelated note, here's another example of poor board confidence behavior in the patch. When I took over, the board were slightly concerned about the balance. In January and July, I sold almost a million pounds worth of players. When the new season started, the board were "devastated and distraught" at the club's balance, and clearly were blaming me.]
So October 1st rolls around, and I get an e-mail informing me of the payment to Cristo Atletico, one of my feeder clubs: 912k! That's about 80% of the value of my club. I just checked their information screen: their value is 2.5M - probably because they've been accumulating cash from my ridiculous annual payments! No wonder we're in such bad financial shape! Of course I immediately canceled the arrangement, but I looked back through the financials and it seems that this has indeed happened every year for the last five. Amazing.
Anyway, is this a bug, and has anyone seen a feeder club payment like this before, in a level this low? I know there's good-sized payments with marketing feeders on different continents and such, but I've never seen anything like this at this level.
