I have just been asked by my groundsman what dimension i want for the pitch for the upcoming season. does it play a major factor in the game or should i leave it the way it is and not worry about it?
I went for a pitch at maximum dimensions. Unfortunately, my low skilled players can't play on it. My home record is pitiful compared to my away record where most of the fields are smaller than mine. My home record is causing me places in the standings as well as in the pocketbook because no one wants to come and watch the home team lose at home.
Make sure you get a pitch that suits your clubs ability levels as they currently are, not what you want them to be.
If you have a tactically gifted team you should have a large pitch, if you want to keep things tight and have little space then a small pitch. It is mentioned in the message as well.
Maybe as it is a new efature, it is overrated again. Like the feeder clubs last year and the chairman selling players before that. New features lack balance sometimes in this game.
My First season as Man Utd, i went for a maximum sized pitch. Won pretty much everything. Second season i just set it at standard length, and had a horrible time. Out of the CL in the groups, 12th in the league, 5th round of FA cup, but winner of the league cup. Third season i set it back to maximum and im destroying everything once more.
I think only the clubs that own their stadium can do that. I play as Spartak Moscow, and since they play at Luzhniki - a stadium which does not belong to them - it is not possible to change the pitch.
