I tried them all Arsene. I also tried the half time "Prove a point" option when it was available. None of them made an impression, which is why I started wondering if the problem could lie with either training routines or intensity, since those options you mentioned had definate effects on other members of the squad (and as such are obviously working as intended).

Sorry mate, just trying to help
Adebayor had a 10 hour goal drought, and he is a bit disgruntled and I told him "no pressure" and then bang he scored 2 in a single match.

The biggest thing is to break his run of poor form. Try ANY trick to get him on the scoresheet.
For example:

Give him a run-out in a Cup game against lower-division opposition

Make him your penalty taker. If he's utterly awful at penalties, only make him your taker when you take a two-goal lead.. but do it every time.

When protecting a lead, make him your free-kick taker.

Work on your "corner kick" and "throw-in" instructions to get him involved. A tall target man should do well on "Near Post" for both, while a short-but-lethal type will do well with "Attack Near Post" on corner and "Default" on throws.

Put him on the subs bench, and bring him on if you're leading.

Try him with a "Free Role" if you aren't already

Try him as a Playmaker or Target Man late in games you're winning, just to get him more touches.
You might even go so far as to sit him against top-quality opposition and use him against the teams at the bottom of your division. (Until he recovers his form)

I believe changing all the things mentioned above is a total waste of time.
The game will let each said player score again whenever it has been programmed to do so.
I know all strikers go through goal droughts, but this game takes it too far...you just know when ones coming and there is nothing you can do about it, just drop him for four/five games I'd say.

Rotation is the only thing I have found to work around it. Give the dried out striker a few games rest, then ease him back through the bench.

also check out your training. coach skills also do change (as often as every half year) and they often decrease, meaning that shooting might have gone down one star in training, which even in 07 I already found had quite some impact.
