I am playing with Palermo and have some pretty good continental scouts.
However in the reports I get back from them (or the view 'scout-main' on my shortlist), there is almost no differents between CA and PA?

For potential it always says 'is currently playing close to his full potential'. Only for the 16 yo there is a difference between CA or PA.

Are my scouts still not good enough or do I always need my scouts to check the players for 3 matches.

I can't seem to find players that have a current ability of lets say 3 stars and have a potential of 5 or 6 (besides the ones of 16 yo)

Anyone who does not have this or can tell me what to do? thnx

Well the scouting system is meant to be much better on 08, but after getting that same problem with my scouts, i decided to have a bash with the mini scout.

I found players that my coaches and scouts claimed were "playing at close to their full potential" were in fact way off their potential and had enough time to reach it.

I cant really tell you what to do, other than cheat with the mini scout

The younger the player, the less accurate the scout.

I believe that one of the Si staff has clarified the new scouting system. Even a scout with Judging PA 20, Judging CA 20, will not give you an exact assessment eg. a 17yo with CA 90 PA 190, the scout will not tell you he has the potential to be a leading Premier Division player.

I believe now that scouts and coaches base their reports around the level the player is playing at and how well they are playing. It's unrealistic for a scout to suggest a 17 year old who has low CA and is playing at a low level to have the potential to be one of the top players in the one of the worlds top leagues. As the player develops, the scouts report will change if he sees the player improving well, and playing well at a higher standard.

Scouts give you their opinion on the player's ability. They are human, it could be wrong.
You buy a player with your scout's recomendation of being a leading star doeesnt mean he will
become one. Some players dont make it. It's about trial and error.

Plus using Genie or mini scout or looking at the editor takes away the fun in my opinion. Isn't it better to discover a player yourself and see him become the best, instead of looking at Player X has PA of 190, lets get him on the editor.
