while playing fm i came across a news item where an arsenal player over 30 got a new 3 year contract...this got me thinking!
does anyone else think manager profiles could have a section abit like "preffered moves" on player profiles where is lists the more odd things they do?
here are a few examples - arsene wenger wont offer more than 1 year contracts to over 30's & rafa benitez constanty rotates his lineup (I heard a stat that he has only ever had kept the same lineup 3 times for 2 consecutive matches)
I just think it would add abit more realism to managers and make them more unique.
feel free to shoot my idea down in flames if it sounds like utter rubbish!
as if arsene will offer 3 year contract to someone over 30 looooool. they would be lucky not to be sold, which is what i do too ;-) get money while u can.
Assuming genie scout is accurate on 07 all managers had hidden mental attributes identical to players that shapes their personality and behaviour, as well as others that shape their tactical strategies.

Nice idea, 'manager preferred moves' has been suggested before. Whether or not it gets implemented in future versions only SI know.

interesting! i didnt realise managers had hidden stats!
but then i dont think what im suggesting even come under those "hidden stats"
like i said its more like a specific querk that only that manager does i.e wenger with the contracts.
how did you manage to access the hidden attributes? alos can you see the hidden attributes for yourself just to see the type of manager the game thinks you are?

Using FM Genie Scout on FM 2007. There's no version for FM 2008 yet. Just load up the game using genie scout and use the staff search button to find your profile.
I don't know how accurate it is or whether it adjusts them based on success or how you play.
