Pim1984 - I have not started a new game with the beta patch, nor do I intend to with the final patch when it's released. There are some issues that sometimes need a new saved game, and it's best to start clean in case there are knock on effects, which is why we suggest that people might like to- basically, once we very a bug is fixed, we don't then continue playing that game for a few seasons, so wouldn't know if there were knock on effects.

Thank you very much Miles for this great post. This will silence a lot of criticisms/assumptions from the 'moaners' (being one of the 'moaners' myself, I'd say at least it has silenced me )such as:

1. SI gives no progress reports (btw it silences those who claim that they are IT experts and no progress reports are possible as well).

2. SI does not communicate and thus does not respect the customers.

3. Customers are given non-accurate expectations.

4. SI pretends that problems do not exist with the game.

All of the above is now proved false by this post. I will certainly make no mention of these anymore and I will argue against those who do, quoting this post of course.

Keep up the hard work, and good luck with the tweaking and testing.

I have one question, which you may not be able to answer yet. Is one of the issues being addressed the drop in processing speed. I can handle the rest but as i am ona slower system, and finding it a bit difficult.

can i just ask when you load up the game at the top it says the version it is 8.0 but ive downloaded the beta patch is this meant to have changed to 8.01 ive installed it and everthing.
help would be greatly appreciated.

I hope to heck a lot of people don't stop reading at "early next week" and accept the possibility that all might not go well.

We all hope it does, but it may not, and there is a very real and distinct possibility that the patch will not be available by Tuesday. NOTHING HAS BEEN PROMISED.

Thnx for the update. I have actually began to enjoy the game since i installed the second patch, have just started a campaign with Liverpool all going well thus far.
