firstly, thanks a lot for the update, appreciate all the work you guys are putting into the patch and the fact that you released a beta to close out some of the bigger issues. As far as I am concerned the game is very enjoyable in its current state, but of course it would be even better to have a bug free game

had one question about the 'confidence' issue though... my first game was with a Prem club so I didnt really notice it and now I have started a game with Leeds, where the boards long term objective is to win the Championship in 5 years. Now if I do it in less than 5, will that affect my game? that is what the confidence bug is right? or am I getting this all wrong. I have the latest version of the beta patch btw, beta 2 or whatever. I am one of the moaners, although i am sure that most of the other contributers here have also had theit tuppence worth but will deny it.
all i ever wanted was some-one to say sorry we will fix it the best we can and it will be ready soon . 1 post nothing difficult, now we know why its taking longer with this patch its not ideal but worth waiting for, thanks again

Love the indepth update. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all the testing to go well and I'm looking forward to the release.

Just wan't to say that FM08's potential is really amazing and I think that difference between 07 and 08 is actually pretty significant. It's just the damn bug that have been holding it back, but with the patch I feel like this games full potential will really be unleashed.

thanks for the update miles, i dont know about anyone else, but that post is all i wanted: a simple update to let people know where you're at with the patch, what you're working on and how.

you can understand that its better than getting stonewalled with: "it'll be ready soon", thats unbeliveablely frustrating to hear.

Mandea - to compare the games industry to the tobacco industry is pretty disgusting in my opinion. We're not killing anyone, we're making entertainment products. If you read my original post, you will find the answers to most of your questions. Conspiracy theories are, in my experience, nearly always wrong, as yours are in this case.

By the way, I don't know where you got the idea that I'm a PR person. I am Studio Director at SI. We have various a PR company who work on our behalf and Sega's PR team too, and whilst I tend to be the spokesman for the company, a PR person I'm not, nor would I ever claim to be.

Nice update, good to see that the process is roughly pictured. As skanky said, this post is all we (I'm sure there are more people) wanted to hear.

For god's sake please fix the bug that appears in online playing.
Some extra good tactics that proved to be consistent and efficient against well-known tacticians are not effective against some default tactics.This way even a 2yr old baby can beat anyone just by selecting the players into preffered formation,that IS a stupid nonsense.

Sir Alberto Gila - if you post about that in the bugs forum, I expect someone will probably ask you for some pkm's and sequences of results, as we're seeing nothing of the sort here.

Matt - SEGA - of course I use shortlists that I've built up over years. It is, after all, a feature of the game that you can. Doesn't help me with young players though, which make up most of my team.

Getting a post on my abilities at the game is quite amusing - are you jealous of my team in the FML beta or something
