Miles out of curiosity, and this isnt me being snidey, but you said

Id be interested to know what games you are playing that have bugs more major than a football management sim not generating fixtures. Major to the point you could call that fixture bug a "minor issue"

Im honestly not trying to be smart although it might come off like that, I just want to know what games to avoid!

Welly well well. I don't remember half as much drama as this when 07 was released or afterwards. There was a bit yes, but nothing on this scale.

IMO that shows just how poor 08 was/is. Desperate, frantic times over at SI towers, me thinks.

Oh and before any of you blind loyalists jump on this, it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. I don't care if you think it's wrong.

Can I just say that the game is great, and I am so grateful that the mac version is released at the same time as the PC version, all too often a Mac version of a game is a side project to be completed after the PC version is out.

My only real gripe with the current game is what you couldn't really call a bug, but i'm guessing it's not intentional. And that's when playing in the premier league after the first season the fixtures generated also lump the games against the "big four" together, this has happened in every season I ever played in the premier league in 2007 and having gotten a premier league job in my career game in 2008 I see it's happening again. I know it might be a tough job to exactly mirror have the fixtures are generated in real life, but surely it's possible to do a better job than this? I know sometimes you will get a tough run of games, but to get the top four games in two lumps season after season?

Other than that, keep up the good work.

In fact, not only do I want 15 patches on my hard drive by midnight tonight, I want thirty billion pounds in unmarked, non-sequential bills, a helicopter on the roof, two more bottles of London Special Ale and a date with a rather attractive girl from across the pond.

Failure to comply and I'll never buy another SI product again this year.
