rcallini - at that stage, I couldn't have written what I have done today. Today, I could. Therefore, I did.

Rep Power: 3 | Miles. Your whole post was excellent and informative . Thanks.
Speaking only for myself, I have been as much frustrated with the apparrant lack of real communication, as with the individual errors within the game itself. Simply being told that the game is "playable" on a daily basis, is even more infuriating than being unlucky enough to encounter the game ending bugs themselves.
Annyway, I appreciate the effort in communicating the current position .

To say you dont enjoy the game because of the bugs are fair enough. Go get your refund. But dont blame your uselessness on SI...
| I've played since FM05. I've never had problems like this before. I even went as far to persist playing for almost an entire month, trying different clubs, different players, different tactics, to ensure it wasnt just that I was selecting bad tactics. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Then how do you explain other people having success..? If there was something wrong with the game, wouldnt everyone experience the same that you do?

Miles, it is obvious by your first post that you and some at SI games are a little bit upset about the moaners. Funny thing is that i've found FM2008 the best out the box version for a long time, the "Closing down" bug not being an issue. The beta patch, although being in beta form was a complete bugged mess. Anyway, sorry I go from my point, alot of the moaners, me being one, have this year posted very constructive and well put together discussions, and I have learnt alot about your game building system, and shared alot of understanding. Some of the moaners are actually more loyal than most to you and the rest at SI towers, than those that only praise. You see some of us actually have been buying the game for years and continue to do so without fail. Over the years ive been accused of making things up with posts highlighting faults in the games, i've been accused twice of having a pirate version due to issues you say are bugs having found them earlier than most and thus been abused, in one case by a mod!
In the 15 years of playing your game I have bought every copy, enjoyed every copy, and to be honest can see myself doing it for as long as you guys continue to! Will I moan in future, yes i'm sure I will, but only as always about major faults. You see constructive moaning is something you should find helpful and those that praise and dismiss are in all honesty the ones who cause the most problems on here!
Your post is fantastic at the start in letting people know what is going on and how your testing it. As I say in the start of this post, learning how you do things has proved interesting and help many understand. A little information goes a long way, and means a number of your moaners will be ready to moan about new problems next week! |

When I say people are reluctant, I mean people who I have actually spoken too who I know play the game and they are saying that they will wait until the patch is released before really playing the game e.g. not playing long term games.
We know this game is good, we know its better than the competition. But it seems there is always something every year that needs to be fixed, e.g. installation problems, something with the match engine etc and the major frustration is that it seems to be similar problems that have been fixed in previous issues yet reappear again and again in the out of box version.
Particularly as I am a career game player, having to update the game is particularly frustrating as although compatible with save games, the temptation is to restart over.

All i'm saying is that when people were asking for an update last week there was silence from SI. Surely you guys knew that as you said "more issues arose" that you were trying to fix so I would have thought that it would have been an ideal time to say that, rather than nothing which causes some people (who i equally can't stand) to get all het up.
