Please, somebody tell me I can convert my 07 saves to 08... I just may cry if there is not a way.

There isn't a way, there never has been a way and I highly doubt there will be a way to do so in the future I'm afraid.

...that's unfortunate. I don't see why they can't do so, however... their other game, OOTP Baseball, allows for you to import older save games... oh well.

OOTP was completely different from FM though. It didn't share any code so what is possible in one doesn't mean it's possible in others.
The FM rule group code is probably much more complex as well. It's hard enough retaining save game compatability in patches.

I can understand that. FM is definately much more complex of a game than OOTP is.

I think it is a shame. I am still hooked on my 2007 games in year 2025, but have just been give 2008 for xmas. Annoying, but just one of those things I suppose.
How many patches have been released for 2008 yet? No where I have looked seems to make anything very clear.

Yea, I have heard that, I have no plans to delete my 2007 game anyway. I might even play 07 & 08 at the same time!!

there have been 2 patches out yet, a beta patch, and the 8.0.1 patch, the latter of which pwns, though some may beg to differ!!
dunno about the beta, havent ever tried it yet
