ok what is the asking price used for in this game?! i try to sell some of my players and set an askin price below thier value. so the next week comes and i get about 20 ENQUIRYS. whats the point of the asking price if the ai teams dont bother using it?

probably a bit like when you put your property on the market and set an asking price of 150k. and then people offer 140k and you ask "what's the point of an asking price?"

tht would be fair enough but the ai teams in fm dont even bother with the askin price as far as i can tell so the feature is useless no?

maybe. although i would say it needs a bit of extra work.
the way i see it working at the moment is that if you set an asking price that is less that the actual price, this stimulates interest in other teams.
whether it also makes them take note of the asking price as well as stimulating the interest i don't know.

Just earlier in one of my saved games a lower league side was interested in one of my players so i changed the price they were offering to a much lower price as i liked this side. I then could not believe it when they knocked back the offer and offered more??? wtf is going on........anyone else had this happen?

Ive had similar things happen with contracts.......they want 12k goalscoring fees and 6k appearance fee so i offer him 20k goalscoring fee and 5k appearance fee and he knocks it back??? dumb idiots!!

The one thing that bothers me about asking price is that I never get any interest in most of my players unless I ask for almost nothing-like 1 or 2k. I have had a number of players valued between 20-50k and I want to get rid of them. They play either regularly or semi-regularly and I can only get interest when I knock the price down to 1 or 2k! Even as an experiment, I have offered my star players and cannot get anything near their value. That doesn't make a lot of sense.

very true i mean crouch was playing useless for me so i had to sell him for as little as 2m as noody wanted him! i mean he gota be worth more than 2m in 08! wtf is this!?
