Hey guys i recently installed the Mega Graphic pack for FM2007 a must download if you havent, but now when FM Loads up it takes ages from the last splash screen to the main screen eg(New Game, Load Game.....)

Any thoughts on how i could speed it up, or even skip the splash screens?

when the game has loaded (and all graphics working) make sure you tick "skin cache" in the preferences, this should make the game load quicker because it doesnt have to load all the graphics again.

Ah, but does'nt that make some of yuor graphics not work ?

i always thought that if you install more graphics then you would untick it, then let it load everything then tick it again, just makes it use what it already knows

If you tick the 'skin cache' after all your graphics are installed then it should make the game upload quicker and no your graphics won't be lost.

Two things to do:

After you have put all of your pictures (graphics) in the correct folders, click start, search, all files and folders, make sure you click on modify and tick the show hidden files and folders option, and then do a search for 'thumbs'

Delete anything that comes up so long as it isn’t a html file, after that reboot your pc and do a defrag this speeded things up a huge amount for me.
