Whatever happened to the community part of skinning?

This is ludicrous. Whilst exclusive paid membership does need some incentives releasing this way is just a kick in the teeth to loyal 'fans' of your work. Having to register with sites is bad enough but basically having to pay (in buying a membership) to download??

I'm all for supporting the scene with exclusives and the whole premium member thing - but this is too far. 12 hours - a day, yes. 2 weeks, no.

It was meant to be with the game, but was late okay, fair enough, but we have to join a site and pay cash to get hold of it 2 weeks after release or wait further. That is truely awful :thdn:

Very poor Ricey, I love your work but you can stick your skin and also backs up mine and many others reasons for not using FM Underground with its unfriendly welcome and try and make people pay to get stuff.

Very poor guys, its a community not a boost your own site and make people put money in your pockets, my advice to all is boycott both!

At the end of the day it's his skin and he can do what he wants with it but I do agree that the community way of doing it is getting lost somewhere and as always it's money involved. However if this is the way he wants to do it then he will probably loose some followers along the way seeing as now we'll know that everytime he releases a skin it'll take 2 weeks to actually download it.

Its the usual FM Underground try and get your cash scheme. At leaset Susie attempts to do the right thing. Surely SI games should close threads for sites trying to blackmail you into paying for stuff. Makes you thankful for sites like Goal-Kick, FM Britain, Susie and the like.

Yes, this is a real shame Ricey. I'm a great fan of your work on both FM and Cricket Coach but it seems a bit steep to make us pay or wait a fortnight for something that was intended to be there anyway. C'est la vie - there'll be others less mercenary
