I'm new to this wonderful world of FM and to this forum (planning on starting my first game tomorrow morning. Very excited ). There is a problem that I'm having that I could do with some help with.

I've downloaded both the Sky Sports and Lightning skins and put them in the skins folder. I then loaded the game up, went to preferences and tried to change the skin and only the Flexion and Flexion (right) options came up still. I tried re-starting my computer, and trying it again, and still the same thing happened.

Both files are unlocked and everything in them matches the Flexion files, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The only thing I can think of is that I'm using a Mac and the skins aren't Mac compatible.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Place them in the skins folder in My Documents>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 2007.

Also, make sure the names of the folders are in lowercase aswell.

Thanks, Jarhead, for your advice, but I'm afraid the same thing's still happening despite them now being in documents>sports interactive>football manager 2007

It's not going to spoil my enjoyment of the game, of course, but it'd be nice to have the choice.

Did you extract them to the skins folder, or did you just place them there ? Also on the xml folder (which you will see when you open up a skin) open it up with notepad, and there will be a line about half-way down saying
"<string id="required_version" value="7.0.0" />"
if you are using the patch or the original, you have to edit that line to match the game your playing, so if you're using the original and the line says 7.0.1 then change the "1" to a "0" and vice versa.
Hope this helps and makes sense , as this is the problem I had :thup:
