Yet another person struggling with uploading skins!! I have read all the instructions on this forum and reckon I am close, however I just cant get it to load. I have downloaded sky sports and saved to skins in my documents fm07 etc. I have also tried unzipping the file and wrar to try get it working. Everytime I load the game and go to preferences and sound and display there is only felxion and flexion right there! Any help would be much appreciated, I been trying for ages.

Make sure you have unzipped the folders that came inside what you downloaded into the correct folders, I do not have FM2007 on this computer but I believe it is something like CDocuments and Settings\<your logon name>\My Documents\Sports Interactive\....Im lost here, but you should see a folder called "skins" either here or in another folder inside the "Sports Interactive" folder you are in.

Have you unticked 'skin cache' and ticked 'always reload skin on confirm'?

Cheers guys tried both still not working. pretty sure i aint far from it working. Long as the games work I'm happy, would have just been a nice little extra.

Did you extract them to the skins folder, or did you just place them there ? Also on the xml folder (which you will see when you open up a skin) open it up with notepad, and there will be a line about half-way down saying
"<string id="required_version" value="7.0.0" />"
if you are using the patch or the original, you have to edit that line to match the game your playing, so if you're using the original and the line says 7.0.1 then change the "1" to a "0" and vice versa.

The only part of this post that is relevant is the fact that you must extract the skin to your folder rather than placing it.

I know for a fact that the Sky Sports Skin works with patched or unpatched games. The config file I wrote for it is designed to run on either version. I dunno why people use My Docs as a place to put skins anyway, its much easier to have that folder in the default directory.

Make sure the actual skin folder isn't a sub-folder. And also make sure it's in lower case lettering aswell.
