Sorry, never relised you where actually playing fm06. The patch I was talking about is for fm07. From what I remember the B/C teams setup is the same on both games anyway.
If you create a B team it will take the place of your reserves and if you create a C team it will take the place of you U19 team. The best way to learn is to have a play around and see what works.
There is big differences between B teams and feeder clubs. I would recomend getting fm07, its alot better imo (it has to be or no-one would buy it).
Hi,
Thanks for all the replies, especially Gooner Steve. I've uploaded the 7.0.2 patch and amended the database, (put Arsenal B and C in the conference south) running a holiday game to see if it works out okay, before trying something more redical

Not sure that putting B/C teams in the English leagues will work, because they dont support B/C teams. I think you will have to enter teams in countries that support B/C teams. ie Spain.
Gooner Steve is correct once again got to the end of the season and the game crashes, will try another holiday game with the B/C teams in different leagues.
I tried the B Team in Autria 1st (but they got relegated 1st season)
C Team in Scotland and they worked fine.
Just looking for another competitive league for the B Team
Hope your doing okay Pietrubens?

hello david,
well, i gave up because i have doubts about the following: if i put a b team in another country, will the youth players be from that new country, or do they come from my country? And also, i actually wanted a B-team along my reserve team, not instead of  so therefor i skipped the idea. I think i might soon make the jump to FM07 though, since the idea of feeder clubs sounds very appealing to me. But then i have to wait untili have a new laptop Anyway, i'll keep you updated
With regards to the regens when using a b team in a different country.
I put my B Team for Arsenal in the Dutch 1st division, you have to be careful when doing this, after swapping the teams go back to the Arsenal main page and double check the nationality.
Originally this had changed to dutch, which meant all the arsenal players left. If you go back and check that Arsenal nationality is english, then the B teams Nationality will also be english, so gaining the regens.
