Why on earth did you close that last thread? You mentioned in a previous thread that you closed, that we should post evidence of bugs/flaws/concerns/experiments, and this is exactly what I did. I didn't start a fire and it was far from a complaint thread. If you had read the post then you would have realised that it was a cry for help more than anything since I was dumbfounded by my findings. It is not my fault that mindless people tend to use posts like these for personal attacks. I always do my utmost to post constructively, and I think that what I found had everything to do with the match engine even though you think otherwise.
Closing posts like these does nothing to enhance your reputation and it seems like every time we find something negative about the game, you become defensive and close the thread rather than contributing effectively. Do you work for SI? I would like nothing more than to hear your thoughts on my 27 match experiment since I believe you have contributed logically in the past. I am not attacking you, Rashidi, but a forum is a public facility for OPEN discussion. Until you change your title from 'moderator' to 'dictator' I am not sure I can agree with your constant closing down of constructive threads. It is out of my hands who contributes to these posts, so I think it is highly unfair that we should all suffer and lose our right to voice opinion due to a certain selection of idiots.

This has nothing to do with the fact that it's 'only a game'. This issue I have currently has nothing to do with the game. And if it's not that important to you then why do you bother to post? I agree that it's not that big a deal, so why do the mods take themselves so seriously?

Arteta - To be honest mate Rashidi is by far the best and fairest Moderator on the boards at SI.
It does'nt mean he does'nt get it wrong now and again, but in all truth, if any other of the Moderators were present, our kinds of threads dont last five minutes.
I dont know if this is the work of SI or not, but personally i think it makes it look like they have something to hide and as a consequence it works against them.
I think this game has been lost to the real football fans amongst us and by that i mean those of us who know enough about the real game to understand that FM07 is far from a true representation of the real thing.
I'd prefer to go back to the likes of CM03/04 with just an updated player patch, not because it was easier(like i've said, overall this game is still far too easy), but because at least in that version of the game, we just did'nt witness such ridiculous anomolies and scenario's.
My biggest worry, from what i've heard so far from SI is that they actually think that FM07 bears a very good representation of the real thing and that all we will see in 08 is more or less a player update and a slight clean up of a few bugs?. |

i completely agree. The mods close the thread because of the lack of cheating 'evidence'. Then you show some cold hard evidence of cheating and then they try to shut you up anyways.

What I don't understand is how does the AI cheat? It's not real, it's artificial hence the abbreviation so it just plays the way it only knows by trying to tactically outclass you.
Gone are the days you can just plug and play and good riddance tbh. I'm enjoying the fact I actually have to think about the match. Its a much more sweatier affair now I actually have to choose what tactic I need to use.
The AI doesn't cheat it's just smarter then you

I think the problem myself and the likes of Arteta have, is the fact that it is quite difficult not to take it personally every time someone states "it does'nt happen to me" or "this game is great", simply because its because of these ridiculous statements that this game will fail to be improved upon, which in turn stops us playing a game we once loved and hoped would evolve into something much more realistic!.

You know Arteta, if you spent more time trying to figure out where you are going wrong instead of eternally bashing your head on the "Game Cheats" threads you might find out that the game doesn't cheat and you would have more success.
If you are having trouble with your tactics then perhaps you should watch your matches more in full mode to try and work out where you are failing, instead of picking a team, pressing play in fastest mode and then minimising your game while you come here to write moaning minnie posts on how the game is cheating you.
It becomes tiresome after a while witnessing the same people writing the same things time and time again like a stuck record. This is probably why Rashidi closes them down.

| But why take it personally? People simply say that the game supposedly doesn't cheat for them because for them it doesn't and they beleve that this is evidence that it doesn't to anyone. Innocent till proven guilty I can only argue for.
And saying the game is great won't stop it being improved because there are problems and there is always room for improvement:
-"The artist knows he has acheived perfection, not when there is nothing left to add, but nothing left to take away."

| And it becomes tiresome hearing constant replies like this. If you had actually spent a second reading my posts you would probably realise that I am very successful at FM and that there is nothing wrong with my tactics—unless of course finishing 4th in the Premiership with Derby in my second season after storming the Championship was down to sheer luck. So, firstly I would like to say just relax yourself before you get overly excited. Secondly, if you had read my last post that got closed, you would probably see that there was an absolute anomaly after replaying the same match 27 times and winning only 1 of those matches. The point of this new thread was to ensure that this incident was not overlooked, but it seems that you all would rather label me a complainer instead of theorising as to what the problem could be. I don't have the save game, but a few of the screenshots should at least raise an eyebrow. And trust me, I've got better things to do than make this up. I know what I saw.
So, thanks for the suggestion, Bluesjunior, and I like the term 'moaning minnie posts', great use of aliteration, but I think you should worry about yourself before judging because I don't have any trouble with the game. Far from it, I've won everything there is to win, including the World Cup. I have merely stumbled upon an important finding that people would rather dismiss than think about. Henceforth, if you have nothing of value to offer me, young man, then I would appreciate you keeping your mouth firmly closed. Cheers.
