It's not setting the touch paper alright, however I feel this is a solid tactic that will give a good foundation to tweak and build on.

Defensively sound and frustrating when it comes to attacking as you get quite a few chance on target in a normal, sometimes you score a lot and sometimes not...

I've run through the first season a few times with this, won the Champions League and finished top four in the EPL with Arsenal. I personally would have hoped for more - these were holiday games though.

I find that you lose only ahandful of games, but draw quite a lot, that's where the tweaking came in. Try ticking and unticking "use play maker" and varying betweem narrow with slow tempo to wide with high tempo, did this against Sunderland and I scored three good goals in the second half.

The tactic has lots of specific player instruction, lots of closing down with the DR, DL and DMC on tight marking. I use the MC as playmaker - I h ave Fabregas and Nasri for this role, both have high creativity.

Also the FC is the target man, "use target man" is not ticked in the box, but I have the DR, DL and the outer AMC's with cross aim being the target man.

I'll give this a shot in my 3rd season Sevilla team. Has this tactic been tested with the beta patch?

Now that's an interesting tactic. The instructions are similar to my 4-3-1-2 (the CM93 style one), but with the midfield three further up the park.

I'd suggest you would be more defensivley sound with the fullbacks on low closing down (a couple higher than your DC's). This way they won't be dragged out of position so much - if that happens, then it will be easy for wingers (Or more crucially, strikers running into the channels) to get in behind your defence.

thans, i'll try that out. Tactic hes been tested with the full game, I'm looking forward to the patch, hopefully it will address some of the game engine bugs.

I've tweaked the tactic and taken your tips on closing down. First two results are 3-0 away win at Chelsean then 4-0 away win at Stuttgart!

I'll play for a while longer and if it's holding up I'll post the updated tactic.

I thought it might improve things a little. I totally agree with you about not being able to rely on holiday results - having said that, I want to start a new game in the Czech Republic or Slovakia this weekend (3-Day weekend, albeit Saturday will be taken up doing my Bike CBT), so I'm going to try a holiday game when I get home from work tonight. I'll report back at about quarter past 5 tomorrow morning

I've just trialed this post patch and can report back this.

I tried it twice in the same game against Tottenham.

First game I played it as it comes and lost 3-1
Secomd game I played with Seagulls FB advice and won 4-1.

Both Tottenham and me played exactly the same players as I had saved it on the day of the game.

I will try a few more games to see what comes.
