I signed Djibril Cisse for Villarreal, and he didn't say anything inflamatory like seeing the club as a stepping stone or anything, but the fans hate him.

He has made a promising start, with 3 goals in 3(3) appearances, and I like him, but the fans feel "it looks like he could be a fairly poor player for us".

Do any of you have an idea why they would jump to such a position when he's done nothing wrong and he's only been at the club a couple of weeks?

Not sure why but i've had that with a few players. If he keeps playing and does good they will learn to love him.
